    Best MMO

So it's time to rethink what is the best MMO currently. Is it World of Warcraft, with its rich lore and appeal to hardcore raiders? Maybe it's Final Fantasy XIV or TESO, with their recognizable IPs. Or maybe it's Guild Wars 2, with its innovative horizontal progression system. What is the best MMO out there right now?

Isnt the answer always..."is complicated" ?

Combat / Graphics - Black Desert is the best (imo) but has many many other flaws

"Make your own class" is making me addicted to Tree of savior

Blade and Soul probably has the best 1v1 PvP on the market? (might be wrong, but thats the idea i get)

Biggest Budget and updates = WoW

Had the best PvP though that wasn't so gear reliant compared to most MMORPGs, where a 10 level difference you still had a chance.

I remember the level grind slowing to a crawl around the high 70's/early 80's. You'd spend hours in Chaos/Fantasy Flow, killing mobs, only for my exp bar to move a fraction of a percentage point.

The mothership wars over the weekend were the best. Oh man, the gate rushes! Hundreds of players shooting at the gates while hundreds of enemy players were trying to rush through and summon the rest of the nation.

I rolled an A-gear. Was crap at PvP. Really wish I had mained an M-gear, that way I'd at least be useful as support.

This is a rather complicated question with so many factors made worse by how even though the genre is saturated, there's only like 3 noteworthy standouts for the genre.

Pretty normal for any Asian MMO really, the grind. I played plenty a LOT of them, such as Legend of Mir, Myth of Soma, Mu Online, etc. ... that solid hour of a grind for a meager 5% progress towards leveling. I don't miss those days tbh, lol.

    And yeah, them Nation fights were intense. I played an A-Gear, laying siege to them portals;

None. They all have to many flaws to be best.

    Wow -- clusterfuck
    FF -- outdated gameplay
    GW2 -- zzzz
    Eso --- TO MUCH MICROTRASH
Tera -- Broken and never updated...and probaly still has same bugs
    Rift -- zzzzzzz
Everquest -- what is wrong with you people
    Runescape -- same as everquest
    Black desert online -- casino
BS -- i keep away from that studio/publisher since they killed that mmo

    Best UN-finished mmo = Temtem.

For me it is The Secret World I loved the theme and everything about it, just needed more content and updates and it would still be around I think. Sadly WOW got here first and people had too much time sunk into it at that point to abandon it for any other MMO.

I found a nice niche in BDO I created my own mini-game given the circumstances and it was fun...and best of all....social

    The mini game i created:
    -Join the Arena Map
    -Start talking to strangers
-Learn how to play the game and your class with said strangers
-Ask them to REMOVE gear in order for both your "item level score" be the same

    Enjoy the PvP and socialization

    ..........

You dont have to be the best of the best People can talk and have fun

The Star Wars MMO is still alive Probably has one of the higher, active user bases too.

    WoW, by sheer content alone.

It's WoW, it's not even up for debate. With the exception of EQ (which aged horribly) all other MMOs are just trying and failing to be WoW.

    Basically if you were making a top 5 list of MMOs, WoW would be 1 through 5 and then you'd have honorable mentions, such as;
    DAOC (PvP)
Warhammer Online (PvP and world PvE)
    FF14 (accessibility and player agency)
    SWTOR (participation trophy)

But ultimately WoW is still King. Hell it's been out for so long it's trying to be more like it's old self.

Id say wow is the best regarding dungeons and raids. Everything else FF XIV does it better by miles

BnS duels, and combat in general, were amazing, I would have played the shit out of that game if crucial skills weren't locked behind obnoxious dungeon farm. At least that was the case after release, don't know if they changed it since.

After playing 6 of the MMOs on that list, I'm voting FFXIV. I loved WoW for what it was, but I enjoy FFXIV's more story driven focus. I'd still rank WoW 2nd as it's a pretty solid game. Its just not really what I'm looking for any more.

I only dont play B&S because im not sure if there is "low level PvP"
Do i have to endure the entire leveling experience first?

If you tell me i dont have to endure the entire leveling experience...ill actually play it again
