Alliance & Horde on same server?

So I mainly play alliance on Stormrage (99% Alliance server).

I decided I wanted to roll a few Horde toons. I prefer to have all my toons on one server, because I love looking at the login screen lol.

Is it non-beneficial to roll Horde toons on a 99% Alliance server? What will be the downside to this? I'm mainly doing it for Mogging because I love some of the Horde races.

Well the obvious no? Finding a guild on your server. No economy. Empty cities (to a degree, cause of phasing). Generally not much action.

If you only want to collect mogs. Meh. It is basically a single player game then anyways so it does not matter.

Unless you're planning on mythic raiding on the horde character or trying to become a PvP god there is literally no disadvantage or advantage to rolling a character of any faction on any server.

There is almost no content tied to servers anymore.
