Other angles I think need to be looked into is this guy's bizarre ties to the Science community and research. Epstein was mad into research in eugenics and seemed to be extremely friendly with Bill Gates, and Gov. Richardson on that front. As well, Epstein apparently had the full control of Leslie Wexner, I mean, in general, do we even fully know where Epstein got all his money in the first place? Plus his ties to the New York business community is what brought Trump into his orbit, and the two maintained a friendship from that time, and while I've heard stories of a falling out, who knows how true that really is. Everyone is going to claim they had a falling out or didn't know, or knew but were scarred.

And while generally, I'd say the "Intellectual Dork Web" folks are trash, curiously enough both Eric Weinstein and Sam Harris had met the guy and Eric Weinstein did describe the details and the levels he thinks that Epstein was involved in:

His assessment being this was some intelligence agencies project, not a well-done project but a project and seemed heavily involved in the sciences and research grants. Epstein's bigger network of influence was funding scientific research for SOMEONE, and with a lot of interest in genetics, and a lot of hints towards eugenics. A lot of philanthropic foundations were heavily involved with Epstein, and as I mentioned the Gates' especially which kinda fits given the kinda Eugenicsy bent to Bill Gates causes and philanthropy.

I think it's probably not a healthy thing to have high trust in institutions and socio-economic classes given the very real history of those institutions makes trusting them absolutely daft.

Have you seen the Florida council meeting, where they were listening to the public? One of the ‘masks are killing us and stealing our oxygen’ literally screamed out “Why isn’t Bill Gates in jail?” as her time was up.

Yes, while the history of who conspiracy theorist choose to focus on, has a better track record? Why Bill Gates and not Donald Trump? Why not Koch brothers? Not enough info on Walton?

I mean, your bias shows when you choose to just focus on the 'usual suspects' for one side while disregarding any evidence that involves the other. It is why it is hard to take you seriously.

You still think it's an us vs them vs them and not just an us vs them scenario. The closest you'll ever get to being one of them is ending up like Donald Trump, having a lot of money and buying a lot of friends, but ultimately having very little impact in the grand scheme of things but you blew that when you weren't born rich.

Why would they do that when they all think they are bullet proof? and if he had died 3 or 4 years ago people would have noticed just like his first arrest made headlines but he walked away from that with a wagging of the finger. I have worked with several of these masters of the universe type none of them think themselves vulnerable. Epstein's trouble didn't come into light until after he got into custody, also he was still useful even after being tainted they still went to his underage parties.

We will see last time Barr personally intervened to make sure Epstein went to the "right" prison.

What kind of dirt does Trump have on Barr to make him THIS compliant, like I can understand maybe SOME loyalty over having the job, or maybe a friendship or something, but this is some serious lapdog simp tier stuff? Did Barr hang out with Epstein too? Because this dude is really going to bat for The Donald on this one and I am unsure what Trump could promise him.

Barr has a philosophy that basically says the president is the king with unlimited power so it doesn't necessarily have to be dirt. Even before Trump he gave speeches saying this and has stated so again as AG, he is part of a conservative movement that believe the president is the executive and his power is to be unquestioned.

Eh, you know what, it wasn't a fair accusation.

I suppose you did cover enough bases to show it is a wide spread issue that effects all sides of the aisle, and while your implication that Trump became aware of Epstein through his business dealings with New York businessman comes off as somewhat innocent and happenstance, rather than a deliberate attempt on Trump's behalf to get involved in some fucked up shit when he heard Epstein was in town, you also didn't say that isn't what happened.

And while bringing up his 'falling out' as if Donald Trump hasn't had a come to Jesus moment with the majority of his criminal friends when their crimes are brought front and center isn't exactly the most honest thing to do, I suppose it is excusable.

Maybe I was too quick to jump to conclusions. To me it sounded like you brought up eugenics, then drove straight into Bill Gates to tie the two together and float some continued conspiracy theory going on in right circle that Gates is secretly an evil mastermind trying to arm foreign governments with tools to manage their populations, threw in another Democrat, then tossed in a Republican for good measure, and finished up on Trump in a very careful way to downplay his involvement.

Maybe, I mean Ideology can carry people far, still, this is a wild level of servile obedience to that cause. I guess for me ideological commitment ends somewhere before child rape island and an actual IRL Pizzagate basically.

Well to top off this Barr is also a religious zealot, he believes at the end he will be vindicated as they will be the victors and history is written by the winners. The man is the perfect combination of crazy for someone like Trump.

Has nothing to do with his philosophy.

Epstein had a connection to Barr's family through his time working as a teacher at Dalton. He gave him the job even though he had no experience.

And yeah Epstein totally had relationships with the students while there.

Okay, I will say, I don't think Trump met Epstein with the intent to partake in underaged teen girl sex slave antics. I will say I am guilty of typecasting that Trump looks, acts, talks, and just, in general, it would be very On Brand for him to be the kind of person who partakes in underaged prostitutes. Virginia Giuffre for example was recruited as a minor at Trumps Mar-a-lago. I am very willing to believe that Trump, among others, are involved in that aspect. He and former President Bill Clinton spent too much time and had too many connections to the guy to have not known. I would say Bill Clinton as well as partaken in underaged sex slaves.

I do however appreciate the change of pace, where normally I am accused of being a hardcore Trumpster, I now get to be accused of being too hard on The Donald. So that is a refreshing change of pace for me.

As for Bill Gates, he has a lot of connections to Epstein, especially the New Mexico ranch and an Epstein project to seed his DNA to create better humans. In general his ties to the world of Science Research are shady as all hell:
The New York Times did a deep dive into Epstein’s scientific beliefs in an article titled Jeffrey Epstein Hoped to Seed Human Race With His DNA. The Times’ reporters found that Epstein was apparently fixated on “transhumanism”, the belief that the human species can be deliberately advanced through technological breakthroughs, such as genetic engineering and artificial intelligence.

At its most benign, transhumanism is a belief that humanity’s problems can be improved, upgraded even, through such technology as cybernetics and artificial intelligence – at its most malignant though, transhumanism lines up uncomfortably well with eugenics.

Eugenics is the belief that humanity can be improved by controlled breeding, selecting for preferable traits and minimizing less desirable ones. Alan Dershowitz, professor emeritus of law at Harvard and a former lawyer of Epstein’s, said in the New York Times investigation that Epstein would at times steer conversations about how to improve the human race genetically, an idea that appalled Dershowitz because of the overlap with Nazi theories about eugenics.

Epstein was allegedly fascinated with and inspired by the Repository for Germinal Choice, which was founded in Escondido, California, in 1980 by Robert K Graham, an avowed eugenicist and tycoon who got rich developing shatterproof eyeglass lenses. Graham’s goal was the “strengthening of the human gene pool”and he would accomplish this with the Repository, a sperm bank where all the donors were Nobel laureates. At least that’s how it was supposed to work: according to a 2001 story in Slate, Graham only ever convinced three or five (the stories vary) to actually contribute, and the Repository shuttered in 1999.

But Epstein was apparently taken with the idea. In his version though, rather than a bunch of lettered academics, he’d be the one “strengthening the gene pool”. Starting in the early 2000s, he reportedly told multiple people that he wanted to impregnate as many women as he could to distribute his genes as widely as possible. Several acquaintances told the New York Times that Epstein mentioned using his sprawling New Mexico ranch as a base of operations, and at least one person said he planned to impregnate up to 20 women at a time.

The puzzle at the heart of Epstein’s fandom is how it lasted for so long and why he managed to draw so many scientists into this circle. As Katha Pollit, writing in the Nation last week said: “What I can’t get over is how Epstein successfully weaseled his way into science at the highest level by cultivating major figures in the field socially and spreading his wealth around. Science! The very temple of the pursuit of truth. Call me insufficiently jaded, but am I wrong to expect more of those we rely on to combat all of the nonsense swirling around us?”
    (source)

As for Bill Gates himself, he has a lot of ties, more than he admits to and is said to have described Epstein's lifestyle as "intriguing" after he was already outed as a sex-offender.

Let’s start with Gates. The until-recently richest man in the world has consistently downplayed his ties to Epstein, telling one reporter, “I didn’t have any business relationship or friendship with him.” But Gates is among the tech billionaires with the most extensive disclosed ties to Epstein.

Whether Epstein and Gates did have a “business relationship” has been disputed. Gates did make a $2 million donation to the Media Lab in 2014. And Ronan Farrow reported in the New Yorker that Epstein was credited with securing the Gates money, with internal records saying that Epstein had “directed” the gift or that it was made at his instruction.

“Gates is making this gift at the recommendation of a friend of his who wishes to remain anonymous,” the record read.

Gates’s aides denied Epstein’s direction of the gift. But if he did, as Farrow reported he did, it raises the possibility that Gates was somehow complicit in the image rehabilitation of Epstein and part of an unseemly cover-up.

But MIT investigators did little to help establish truth and fiction in the situation.

“In 2014, Epstein claimed to have arranged for Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates to provide an anonymous $2 million donation to the Media Lab,” MIT’s lawyers wrote in the 63-page report. “Representatives of Bill Gates have told us that Gates flatly denies that Epstein had anything to do with Gates’s donation.”

This, suffice it to say, skirts the question of who is telling the truth — and effectively leaves it as an unresolved he said, she said.

When Recode asked the lawyers involved in the report if this sidestep was intentional, they would only say that “we didn’t see any evidence” that Gates or any Gates entity “were donating money from Mr. Epstein or that they were donating money at the behest of Mr. Epstein.” They used similar language — “there is no evidence” — to respond to the notion that Gates acted to “launder” Epstein’s money by donating money that didn’t belong to the Microsoft founder.

In the report, MIT’s investigators do not definitively say it did not happen — just that they didn’t see any evidence of it. And that statement would then have to be reconciled with MIT’s internal records, which offer at least some evidence to the contrary.

While there are many reasons to doubt the credibility of Epstein and of Joi Ito, the ousted head of the MIT Media Lab, there are also reasons why Gates and his denial should be scrutinized.

Despite Gates’s public comments minimizing his ties to Epstein, the New York Times uncovered numerous instances of the two meeting privately, to say nothing of Gates’s underlings. At one point, Gates told colleagues that the lifestyle of Epstein, who at that point was already a convicted sex offender, was “intriguing.” (A spokesperson told the Times the comment had nothing to do with Epstein’s lurid past.)

“Bill Gates regrets ever meeting with Epstein and recognizes it was an error in judgment to do so,” a Gates spokesperson told the paper this fall.

Well it was interesting because Epstein learnt he couldnt do the dirty on the daughters of upper east sides elite when he got busted so he moved onto public schools with poorer communities later on in life because not as many people care about them.

And made the girls recruit each other and targetted the pretty/poor girls. Super sad stuff
