Tabards... really kinda pointless, but the idea of having a symbol and a colourscheme to match it is really what matters, players like the ability to choose their look and how they define themselves in Azeroth.

For a long time, id say about Cata was the last time that blizzard really gave this subject any attention, but gulid tabards and guild customisation was a key feature in what defined guild uniqueness.

Now? Now its pretty much an afterthought considering the abundance of other content out there.

Im not really saying that we need a major overhaul of it, though that'd be fun in its own way, but id definatley like to see a significant increase in guild icons, guild colours and maybe a colour palette allowing us to choose our own individual colour sets, possibly even chroma colours so tabards dont always look one particular colour scheme.

A few proposals I have:

Tabard Trims:

Downward chevrons/upward chevrons, snake links, Jagged edges, triple lines.

Tabard Additions:

Option to choose 1 solid colour, 2 changing colours and or 2 random colours for tabards.

Colour Patterns: Squares/Diamond/Circle/Spots/Fleurs/Waves/Triangle

Tabard Icon Ideas:

Tabard Icons could now have two colours instead of 1, defined by inner/outter colours or the option of having 1 solid colour as usual.

e.g.

The cauldron tabard could have the cauldron be one colour and flames be another. The ribcage tabard could have the center be one colour and the outlines be another.

Also, new general tabard icons for people to pick from.

Finally how would this translate to shirts/banners, etc:

For Banners they would be adjustable with a GM customising the banner appearence, for shirts they use the default origional design along with cloaks as they were never really tailored around those kind of changes.

Ultimatley I feel this is what id propose as a QoL change for tabards, id be happy to see some guild customisation return, sure guild housing might be cool one day but for now, focus on the smaller, more achievable goals.
