Been through alot, manage to get a spike through the foot, alot of broken bones, and stuff like that.

Close second would probably be when i injured my hand and manage to brake 3 fingers, get a crack in the forth one, and then got cracks in 2 of the knuckles and almost completely crush third knuckle.

But winner i would say is one time when i got kicked in the nuts.

Broken stuff hurt alot longer, but kick in the nuts was way more intense pain.

Slipping down stairs, nearly breaking my spine In multiple areas according to a doctor.
Didn’t even realize I was screaming in pain for nearly a full minute While lying unmoving at the base of the stairs

I wouldn't dare of putting this on the same level as kidney stones and what not... But goddamn I must've masturbated wrong recently and damaged my urethra, cause jesus it annoyingly burning almost every time I piss.

And a burning urethra is freaking annoying. It's not painful, but it's so bothersome that you can't change your mind to smth else

Few different things all equally painful.

    1. Tripped over a rock running through a field and gashed my knee pretty good.
    2. Got a brick thrown at my head (we were throwing bricks into a pond and didn’t hear my friend yell duck).
    3. Pissed blood before. Guessing I passed a kidney stone.

Honestly I've been lucky in the injury and pain department.

Probably getting my bracers removed? I could barely eat brownies? But since I didn't take any of the vicodins that were prescribed to me, I ain't got nothing that compares to what most everyone else here has posted.

Had a minor one in bootcamp. Wasn't fun. But I was given antibiotics and it went away in a day or two. Don't think what I felt was as bad as what your describing.

I had an in-grown toenail that I didn't want to have to get surgery for as I didn't think I had time. So I went to the worst foot therapist in the world. She had no anaesthesiologist so she just took a scalpel and started digging around in my toe. This including touching my nerve directly. Once I threw up from the pain, the second time she tried I almost passed out. I've never experienced anything like it before or since (thankfully).

I don't post that often, and when I do it's often in bursts. I always lurk though.

hemorrhoid surgery. Got 2 removed and the recovery was terrible. Too close to the nerves and 2 months of intense pain. Not even the strongest painkillers helped it. I had to get the fistula removed a month later too.

I am 33 and still regularly play soccer at the weekends. I am mainly goal keeper and pretty strong one. I am a beast at 1vs1! a year and half ago during a match the ball was coming high directly from mid, defense was slow the ball bounced and went high again and the opponent forward decided to use his left knee towards me, crushing his knee into my right rib cage.

after I landed, immediately fell to the ground and turn immediately, lay on my back. I couldn't breath. I wasn't able to breath at all. My lungs were pressed so bad all the air went out I think. I couldn't talk but I try to think logically/calmly in all situations and told myself, try your nose. try breathing from your nose. as my mouth is out of commission. I could do that. just a little. with what little breath I got in, I told people I wasn't able to breath. they were helpless as well though. Nobody knew what to do I think.

hoo boy that excruciating pain. I was grasping and kicking the ground so hard. I slowly gained my ability to breath normally over the next few minutes. The pain in the bone is nothing. At to my surprise, it was hurting a lot less than the times I had broken my arm (2 times). later on x-ray the doctor told me the bones number 12 and 13 were broken nothing can be done. just rest. It was a sudden shock for the body I guess.

when my arm broke I didnt' give a shit since I was young and stupid, my wrist is deformed because of it. there is a bump there. it still hurts in bad weather etc. fuck me for taking out the plasters in 2 weeks when the doctors said keep it 2 months, don't work(out) etc. But I did. but this time I stopped played soccer for 3 months. made full recovery. as good as new I guess.

    moral of the story:
    1) listen to your doctor!
    2) protect yourself first no matter how tough guy you are.
I know when keepers jump for a ball coming high, they use their knees to protect themselves. I never do that to not hurt anybody.

what hurt more though was the fact that the opponent player or the team didn't even apologize or ask about me. 3 months after they see me in a friendly match again, they were like "oh". If I happen to hurt anybody, I would do everything. Pay their hospital fee, ask regularly to check up and god damn apologize!

I would say for me the most physically painful thing was having to sit through the avatar the last air bender live action movie. I still tense up when thinking back to it

Staph infection in my leg that had me going into sepsis. Morphine injections took the edge off, but oh my god....

The most painful thing (that I remember) was when a "friend" accidentally threw glass in my general direction and it lodged in to my eye lid.

Spent weeks recovering, but I can still see out of the eye so nothing too major happen. But it was fairly painful.

And yes, same eye as the guy in my Avatar. lol

Kidney infection. I was initially told it was just UTI, but it hurt so much I couldn't move and only have vague memories of the day tried to get by on prescription free painkillers. The next day my parents took me to see the doc again, and as soon as I entered the health care station, a nurse rushed to take us to their emergency room where I could wait lying down and supervised. Apparently I was literally grey and scared the other patients.
A good competitor was another infection. I had a boil on my throat and despite telling the doctors repeatedly I suspected one, I was misdiagnosed 4 times before finally being sent to the emergency room due to dehydration and deteriorating general condition. I was so sick I hadn't been able to swallow any food for several days, I couldn't swallow water any more as it just came out through my nose and had hard time staying conscious. The ER doctor thankfully listened to me and had me immediately sent to the throat and ear clinic for emergency surgery, where they emptied the boil in local anesthesia, gave me a couple liters of I.V. fluid and strong antibiotics + painkillers; I walked out there couple hours later feeling tired but otherwise fine.

I fell (long story) and got dragged a few feet on my back (and it was in a summer, so I was wearing a tank top so it was back directly to the ground). scraped the skin completely off from most of my back. but that wasn't the most painful part. I think shock from it happening dulled it. the true pain hit when I got into the shower, thinking I need to clean this up as soon as possible, so that I don't get an infection and had a bright idea of using not just water, but also soap (in before emergency room - back in those days i had no insurance and couldn't afford an emergency room for something that wasn't a matter of life or death). I'm not sure how long I've just sobbed, collapsed in a bathtub. but that. felt. AWFUL.

there were a few other experiences that came close, but that one was pretty much the worst.

Either the time I got electrocuted and slammed my head into an oak table, or the time I had to get dental surgery to rip out my last wisdom tooth and they started drilling it apart before I was numb, I refused general anesthesia at the time because I have a fear of needles.

I spent 4 days in A&E for an ear infection a couple of weeks ago and the pain was extreme, unlike anything I've ever experienced and I suffer from chronic back pain on a daily basis. At one point I was on oral morphine every two hours and IV paracetamol every four hours and I was still in agony. My ear had completely closened up so they had to put this thing in my ear which stretched it back open and my God, how I didn't pass out I will never know, it felt like some 1066 Viking era torture device. My ear kept filling up with pus and needed to be drained, thankfully one of the ENT (ears, nose, throat) specialists caught the problem after four days of hell, a simple cotton bud wedged against my eardrum, the other specialists missed it because my ear was so swollen. Once she cleaned out all the pus and sucked out the debris I had instant relief and my hearing returned somewhat, I had lost total hearing in that ear prior. Fast forward to now and the pain is gone, but my ear still isn't right, they say I may never get full hearing back which sucks, but it is returning little by little.
