So shadowlands is gonna be the expansion where you dare not play more then 1 spec. A week lockout.... so you can't even respecc between pvp and pve let alone between raids and m+
It would be great if they could just delete the whole thing, I firmly believe as I have from the v.start that it's going to be terrible for the game and totally unwanted
This looks far better then what it started out as. Getting a better version of it for when higher tiers of content becomes availible is far better then not having it and having to farm for it to get it again. You still have the conduit, just not the best version of it yet. And once you have it theres no need to worry, you wont lose/waste it.
No that's not how it works. Each character is gonna have 3 soulbinds, aka talent trees, but you can only use 1 of them. To swap between or change the path you can just do that at an inn. ONLY the conduits themselves can be reset weekly, but you will have many different choices to swap around at all times.
Also, how is that any different from upgrading gear from different difficulties? LFR > Normal > Heroic > Mythic. It's been the natural state of gear progression for ages.
Do you have any clue how hard it is to code complex systems like this? Do you really think a company would waste that much time on a throwaway system for the sake of feelgood appearances? I understand that they're a company/corporation and we shouldn't take everything they do at face value, but this kind of tight tinfoil mentality makes no sense.

um actually looks like you're flat wrong there. "And if you have a different Soulbind per spec, or a different active trait path within a given Soulbind, that will be saved on a per-specialization basis, and will automatically change whenever and wherever you change specializations."
so you have 3 soulbinds per spec it would seem. you then can change the path they use which will give you different abilities and conduits at any rested zone. so if you play a druid who tanks for m+, heals for raiding and dps for open world/pvp you can do all those things quite easily and you will still be effective
You do realize the conduits having an item level was also a thing in the old system, yes?
A progression system you just fill out in a few days and then don't get upgrades for isn't much of a progression system at all. The collection/progression is now on the same level as any normal gear piece.
Because initially Conduits supposed to be just an items you get and put and go with it without the need to level it up doing the same thing again. Dont confuse gear and item for power customization. They are not the same and serve different purposes.

They essentially turned another system into grinding fest. They put the water from red glass into blue glass and you call it a huge improvement. Its not.

Excellent. This is like essences but instead of Rank 1/2/3, an item level associated, so easy to acquire initially and yet still a reason to push higher content. 10/10
50% of people here are complaining about a system they don't even understand.
Nice change . Soulbinds + conduits will be a very good system.
Your conduits will be saved on a per-spec basis, changing specs will automatically change your conduit loadout to the one you have for that spec. Playing multiple specs won't be an issue, but your concern about doing different types of content may be an issue if you want to use the same spec in multiple types of content.
