I know it's basically a pointless thought now after it's gone (still getting goosebumps just thinking about it, I'm getting hyped just because of that, lol):

If Hunter's Mark did damage on application, it would mean you could put characters into combat at 100 yards.
That would've been so funny. Imagine one shotting low levels from 100 yards away.

Should just be some ability for each spec that applies it automatically like there used to be, instead the devs just copied and pasted from classic

Please don't wish for Cata designs to come back. They removed auto HM on arcane shot (iirc it was arcane) because of the useless server side spam it caused, and just baked the damage in.

I'd still like to see it as some kind of priority target button, maybe with a decent cooldown. The problem is, HM works great in Classic, because it's not completely AoE happy. You prioritize targets one by one and burn them down, AoE is for packs that are individually trivial but dangerous in numbers. In retail, AoE is completely bonkers.

I'm very very happy the mandatory GCD per target is gone!!! Really really hated it. And Blizzard will rebalance the DPS without it no doubt.

Honestly I don't think I even care at this point. The certainty of being 5% weaker in ST is better than constantly feeling like you are playing the spec wrong by not reapplying HM optimally.

It should probably be phrased as: "Now they won't nerf MM as hard as they would have otherwise".

Because obviously we're not going to be compensated for a 5% nerf when MM was on the OP side of the charts already.

Do you think they held a priority meeting on Eye of the Beast, so that it doesn't become "OP" or some shit?

They wasted enough time on it to go back and forth to look for a way to make it work to only to give up, just like they did with searing totem.

I'm not a fan of the unpruning. I like things the way they are now so I'm glad to see that they removed the damage component of it so I don't have to worry about always applying it. I don't do PvP so I'll probably never use it.
