Nothing is impossible, I'm not interested in what-ifs.

There's simply no way the same week we get our Max Cloak Resistance is the same week PTR will come out, though by your calculations it will come out before we max our cloaks.

All the data that is given now and in the past still lines up with what most of us thought as everything still fits around the max cloak corruption date. PTR will also last more than a month as there are a bunch of new things they will want tested, more so than a patch ptr does.
Where was it ever said that Blizzard wanted you to achieve max cloak resistance?

PRE PATCH PTR has ALWAYS lasted around a month. I cant think of a single time that it didnt. The prepatch itself always lasts around a month as well (correct me if im wrong and you have factual proof).

The Prepatch usually drops on live the FOLLOWING week after a pre patch has been on ptr for a month. Therefore, the pre patch is likely to drop on September 15th.

This would give Shadowlands a release date of October 20, if you use the same rule that it will release 5 weeks after the release of the pre patch.

We will know for sure if we get the 2 week warning for the end of the pvp and mythic + season by September 2nd.

    October does seem fairly likely.

The problem is the raid release, really. They don't want the World First Race to cut into US holiday season, which begins with Thanksgiving and goes through to Christmas. They also absolutely cannot delay the raid until 2021, which would be a complete disaster. Which means that with the delayed raid release grace period on launch and the waiting period for mythic, plus the ~7 days you can expect the WFR to take (unlikely an initial raid final boss will take more than one reset but who knows), you pretty much HAVE to release in October to dodge the holidays.

This is probably the same thing as the mobs on that Island in Legion that had a cast time that was so long people thought it was a countdown to something major happening. Love it.

Nov 10 is an extremely likely date, with nov. 17 being the LAST likely date imo.

nov 10th release would be 2 weeks before thanksgiving and would let season 1 start on Dec 1st, just between the holidays.

The brawl only happens after season 1

Season 1 is normally 2 weeks after launch
    So take 109-14
    So we have 95 days
    So launch around November 16th

That’s not my personal opinion though

I’m still of the mindset that it’s the last week of October

Yeah 22sep and 30nov fits good with everything they were saying already.
    Im up with those dates.

4 months almost to the day when all the past alphas/betas moved into the public phase to the release date, October 20th or 27th Friends. It also fits the spooky theme.

Oct 20 would put mythic raid opening one week before Thanksgiving, you could argue the first raid is usually cleared in the first week but they've never released the highest difficulty of a raid one week before Thanksgiving or Christmas.

For it to be an October release date it would have to be 10/06 or 10/13 at the latest.

109 days from today is Nov 30, which would put pre-patch (9.0.1) on Sept 22,2020.

    Thoughts?
Nov 30 is a Monday. Launches always roll out on a Tuesday, so your two best bets would Be Nov 24 or Dec 1.

Well technically BfA launched on a monday in the US lol.

But the 24th is the week of thanksgiving and the 1st would mean we have 5-6 weeks before season 1 starts, so i really don't see either of those being the date.

November 10 makes the most sense. Here's why.

    1. Corruption Cap on all cloaks hits September 8. Blizz will give players some time to enjoy their corruptions and brace for the imminent level squish.
    2. Prepatch hits September 29. Levels get squished, Corruptions get deactivated, and the unpruning, to varying degrees, compensates for some of that lost power.
    3. As players gear up, prep up, and reacclimmate to their classes, SL launches November 10.

Nov 17 has always been my bottom dollar bet on release. I just don't see SL releasing any sooner than Nov 3.

Nah, each of the last 3 expansions has had the pre-patch on PTR for about 2 months before the pre-patch comes out, and 4 weeks of pre-patch to expansion release. It coming out this week suggests they are targeting at an November 9 or 16 expansion release date. An October launch is already out of the question.

They also mentioned somewhere they are mirroring the last two expansions in deadlines and only were delayed by a small week due to corona.

Last two expansions release date was given 4 months in advance. You can't really use the past in this strange year.

28 october or 4 november shadowlands will most likely release. 30 November would be to late, raiding will start 1 week before Christmas then, they will have alot of people on holiday, and they will need to hotfix alot.

Im gonna guess it’s 28 oct. with the prepatch hitting 23 september
