If you could only move to one of these states which would it be and why? I’m picking Alaska. Less people, more land love the weather.
Texas
California
Alaska
New York
Florida
Maine

NY... maybe Maine... the weather...

I already hate the summer where I currently live so moving south is a NO so half those states are out of the question. NY too expensive, though I'd probably fit there better than anywhere else. Alaska wouldn't be too bad but it'd depend on where in Alaska, and it's the one state I've never been. I guess that makes Maine my choice.
I already live in NY. And my grandparents live in FL. It depends on circumstances. I'd guess Alaska if I had a mansion in seclusion.
I live in NY and wouldn't leave it for any of these states.
Hahaha I am going to be your neighbor SOON MUAHAHAHAHA J/k
I mean I will be but Alaska is big.
As for Florida used to be a time I thought is the Florida Man thing over blown. It's not. The thing I remembered about Florida It's expensive if you want to live anywhere decent IMO.

Not a chance in hell in the city, however I will say one thing I have heard about NY is your food is 2nd to none, except for your pizza, I hate your pizza!

I've lived in MA, MD, CA, TX......and then many places internationally, but that wasn't an option in these polls.
Edit: Whoops, forgot Colorado.

I love NYC, and have the money to live there.
However, I was raised upstate, in Buffalo, and I still prefer it to any of these options. Edit: Except maybe San Francisco.

Maine has the best population of the bunch so I'd probably move there.
Texas looks awesome so probably that.
Do you hear the voices too?
Let's be real, when the question in this thread was asked, no one was really considering upstate NY as "NY". Although I personally want to buy some foresty land up there to build a secluded house on like 10 acres so I don't have to be near anyone, sometimes.

New York pizza is the best. It's strange to me to see people talk about pizza online and they mean some thick gross pizza that's super tiny like Pizza Hut or Dominos.
I live right above Maine in New Brunswick and this summer we have gotten hotter weather than most of the southern states.
In order:
1) Maine.....New England is the best part of the country. Can be a little backwards and empty as you get away from the coast, but it's a great place.
2) New York.....as close to New England as you're going to get.
3) California.....West Coast is fruity as fuck, but a lot of California is woefully underrated.
4) Texas......Better than Florida, I guess?
5) Florida.....It's a muggy dump with a few hidden gems.
6) Alaska.....A little unfair to Alaska, since it's the only one I've never been to, but my impression of it beyond its natural beauty is that the populated parts are trashy as fuck with an obnoxious inferiority complex toward the Lower 48.
