Depends on your goals, sure. It's P2W if you aim at getting the World First or whatever.
Most free games with a competitive aspect will be P2W at some point - if you want competitive PvE content where money is not the deciding factor, you'll never find that in F2Ps
LA is P2W for the hardcore crowd - i'm not impacted, I'm sure a huge number of players are in the same boat.
Bots are annoying to say the least, but what's the difference of having 50% of online people being bots or having only 2% ? I'm never waiting more than 1 minute for any T3 content, adventure islands still have plenty of participants.
Complaining about bots is one thing, but they have a very minor impact on the gameplay. They were annoying the first weeks where I spent some time blocking/signaling them, but I didn't see any Bot spam for the last three weeks, even in Vern or in the sea, where they were profusing before.
After, the fact they're banning them or not have a very minor impact on the gameplay. The only impact is on them lying on the player count - but I'd have as much fun with 200 concurrent players than with 1 billion as long as the matchmaking isn't impacted.
I'm not having any stocks in Amazon or SmileGate, so why should I care about the playercount as long as the game is providing me some fun hours ? I could be the only one dude playing in the known universe, that wouldn't be a problem as long as it doesn't block me.
Of course I can understand the complaints from people playing on a crowded server, having bots online while you're stuck in a queue is the worst
Just because you don't enjoy that doesn't mean they're not fun to some people. I don't enjoy chess , yet you don't see me insulting chess players for having low IQ to do that instead of playing Call of Duty.
I'm having moderate amounts of fun in Chaos Dungeons (not terrible, but not great either). They could definitely be scaled up by a good 200% for the timer to be any relevant and to provide some sort of challenge, I'm fully on board with you here. Different maps to be less static would've been a plus too.
But it's the entry grindy content, I think it's not aimed at being challenging, hence why the braindead difficulty.
You have elitist expectations and that's hella weird when you PUG on a F2P game. Usually elitists are playing around with a group of friends / guild, with matching skill level, you simply can't expect everyone to play flawlessly using the matchmaking on a F2P game.
I played some high-level content in WoW but have no longer time to play guild-related content in any game, so I'm pugging most of it as well, so I've lowered expectations accordingly. And wipes can be fun as well - as long as there is no toxic player around.
