Constant advertising spam in the WoW Classic sub-forum

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but there are currently four advertising spam posts in the WoW Classic sub forum.

I've personally reported what feels like between 5 and 10 this week alone. Is this forum being moderated? The users spamming this rubbish all appear to be banned, but none of their forum posts are getting flag. At the moment, there's more botting going in the forum (and arguabley classic wow ), than genuine new posts.

Guessing it's time to add some more flavor and variety to Moderation timezones.

The forum is being moderated and these posts are being removed as soon as we see them and are able. We don't have 24/7 manual moderation because we only have so many mods and they are all volunteers which means they can't necessarily offer a huge volume of hours to the site. We do have an automated spam filter that catches the grand majority of spam to the site; for every one you see slip through, the filter has probably caught ten more. When that happens, we get it as soon as we can but in less active forums (like classic), it may sit for a few hours before it's handled, but it still will be.

It's also worth noting that a lot of these spammers are not bots but actual humans, which means they are able to get around our automated checks and restrictions that we have in place to stop stuff like this.

We don't want spam either, but all I can suggest is keep reporting them and we'll keep handling them as soon as we can.
