Forget BlizzCon, I just got something even better to be excited about.

Not sure looks sexy though. What engine does stellaris and imperator use? probably the same.

Pretty much everything they have made over the last 12 years is on clausewitz engine. and that thing is really starting to show it's limits.

CK takes the problem of Civ expansions to the ultimate level. CK3 looks nice, but how long is it going to take for the game to feel complete again?

About $250 worth of DLCs later, I guess

Oh hey look, everyone's favourite incest and mass murder simulator is back!
To be fair, I am more excited about the new Stellaris DLC, Federations.
    P.S.
So it seems CK2 will finally stop receiving DLCs and updates?

Stellaris is a very good game and yeah same cant wait for that, Imperator is also pretty damn good now after they removed mana and fixed alot of stuff.

We'll see how it turns out - recent releases from Paradox since they went public have been a little troubled.

They have also said that there will be no references to Deus Vult in the game, cause of a few online trolls. It is totally fine to boil babies alive, commit incest with siblings and children, worship satan, go on genocidal campaigns, torture, kill and be a general dick, but we can't be having people using Deus Vult in its historic context.

"Deus vult" is problematic, but incest and genocide ain't.

    It sure ain't. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

lol who wrote that? Seems like a very sensitive person.

What's problematic for Paradox about that term isn't necessarily it's historical origin, but how it has become a political rallying cry for "certain groups" of right wingers in modern times.

Whether you think the exclusion of it is justified or not, that's more or less where their reasoning comes from.

Hmm that doesn't immediately impress me honestly.
Hundreds of thousands of hours have been put into this game between modding, DLC, and changes in general.
    Why make a three?

I'm optimistic, but worried its not going to be better than 2, at least for the player.

Feels like what a WoW 2 might feel like.
I don't want to stop playing the previous game!

It'll be barebones and not worth buying for a few years anyway, if their other games are any indication.
It became clear that it wasn’t realistic to try to get the audience back to being more hardcore, as it had been in the past. -- Tom Chilton

I homestly don't mind a lot, the crusades were always the least interesting parts of CK2, always preferred the politics of medieval Europe
I agree, but the game doesn't take place in 2019, it takes place in a time that people used the saying to push forward their agenda. I don't think it's bad to be considerate to people in the here and now, but taking something away from a period piece because of some current day dipshits seems to diminish the game.
