Remove unused forums?

Just had a look at the video game forums, and a couple of them are dead.


Hearthstone forum was last used about 11 days ago
Guild Wars 2 days ago
LoL 9 days ago
Rift almost a month
Star Wars 8 days ago

Would it make sense to remove the forums that don't get used? Maybe roll them back into the general "Video games discussion" forum, and just have a mega-thread for them?

Just had a look at the video game forums, and a couple of them are dead.

I think being inactive for a few weeks is far from dead. Maybe slightly unwell - but definitely not dead.

If a forum hadn't been active for a year - I'd call it dead.

I mean I know they deleted the Minecraft forum but I don't know if they removed others.

Removing subforums is very disruptive to the people who do still participate there (however infrequent it is) so we try not to do it unless the forum is not having any activity for an extended period of time. A few days isn't really an extended period of time, especially if there are multiple threads still getting some activity.

I mean I know they deleted the Minecraft forum but I don't know if they removed others.

FWIW we don't delete them; the threads get merged back into the VG forums so they will still exist for discussion.
