Jackie Chan is a lot harder to "replace" both because of his special level of crazy but also his fantastical physical comedy. He's more than just a skilled action star in a lot of ways.

He's an actor, first and foremost. His athleticism and knowledge of martial arts are secondary benefits.

Bruce Lee is probably the best martial artist of his generation but he also had a lot of charisma. I don't think you can forego that. Arnold Schwarzenegger has the physique of an action star but he's also charismatic and some of the most memorable elements of his movies are the one-liners.

If it helps, cinema was 99% shite waaay before any of this "forced diversity paranoia" occured, so it isn't as though a lot was spoiled that was any good.

I don't care if they are native indian transgenders if they are as talented as Jackie Chan when it comes to acting, comedy, martial arts. It's only a problem if they get the role because of politics rather than because of their abilities/talents. There are lots of great young martial artists out there with acting talent, it just takes a good movie to push them into the spotlight.

I'm a big fan of Michael J White, he's been in a lot of martial arts B movies but some of them are hilarious, Black Dynamite is incredible. That dude is not only a legitimate martial artist but he can act too, at least with enough charisma and a feel for comedy that could make him a huge star with the right role. Albeit these days probably a superhero movie.



I'm not big on superhero movies personally, but they make billions so it is what it is.

I don't think you can really replace any of these people any more than you can replace Bruce Lee.

And to be honest I kind of see it like music, where instead of finding some 'Michael Jackson replacement' the most popular artists out there would be doing their own thing and not really be a replacement at all. And in terms of actors and martial arts, action movies are so full of CG and stunts that you could make any actor into an action movie star and all the legitimate martial arts stunts movies have become much more of a niche as a result.
