Honestly, the gear is very limited, and instead of trying to run away from the problem, they need to find new techniques that display different fabrics. All the other mmo's are doing it. Only wow is still running what are essentially texture pacs for your character with some 3D bits (mostly shoulders).

Lets see fabrics, lets see things like the coats not being glued to the legs. Heck, go look at FFXIV class sets from stormblood and shadowbringers. You will get tons of ideas.
Gw2 also has really awesome 'flowing' robes and cloaks, that move seperately from your character. I think there's some good ideas there too, but they're also mostly what I'd call 'buttcapes'
I don't play WoW anymore smh.

    The sets are hideous.
The raid sets in BFA were all pretty meh, but they had a lot of good ones for the Warfronts.

It's always nice to have more options, though. Class armors definitely provided that.

Class sets certainly need to make a return. They have been touting a "return to class, you play a class, not a spec" so they should back the gameplay changes up with aesthetic ones, in my opinion.

Slightly OT: Regarding tier bonuses, I would like to see them merged with Azerite traits, in a sense. A variety of tier bonuses that we can switch between on each piece of gear, allowing us to mix and match set bonuses. I think it should be a standalone mechanic not bound to specific pieces of gear and also available in more slots. Let us collect set bonuses like soulbinds and apply them using currencies earned from dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arenas and world quests, that way players are less pigeon-holed. I would even like to see the set bonuses from previous expansions' raids be collectible and applicable, though that would certainly be even more of a tuning nightmare than this idea already is.

The whole cosmetic side of BfA was garbage.
After the incredibly good sets we got in Legion (very few were bad if you're honest) the lack of any swag in the still current extension was extremely disappointing.

The images whenever you enter any new zone are kinda blurred and less detailed compared to the old ones.
    The sets are hideous.
    Music is meh.
Zones are not bad, but kinda bland and boring(especally the Nazmir, it makes me depressed every time I am there).

    So yeah... Miss class armors.
this so much, the sad thing is that on social media like reddit you're buried if you even hint of having this opinion, it's almost like people can't or don't want to accept it (actually it's probably the reason)
I'm so nervous now by potential updates made on older zone by the current team, let's just hope they don't forget the cataclysm lesson

I've seen and joined several BfA transmog runs. I've been raiding pretty consistently on normal/heroic, so mostly they're mythic runs, or normal runs if I need to do the raid for another reason (e.g. get my tailor the recipe off Zul). I found it easier to find transmog runs than LFR runs for past raids, at least for my DPS alts.

Wouldn't mind having specific sets tied to m+. Like, complete every dungeon at a +25 intime, complete every dungeon at +15 3 chest, etc.

The issue I had with CM MoP was that even from the beginning it was way too easy, so easy you could easily have a guy be carried and in some cases be afk the entire run.
    Hi

I mean can you agree that the art team has consistently done the best work over the years, out of the entire WoW dev team? I would wager most would agree with that, considering the writing and gameplay devs have caught a lot more flak especially in recent expansions.

It was just an excuse to do less work they even lied when they said they would end up making more armor sets but BFA has the fewest unique sets of any expansion.

the art team maybe was the best each time yes, but nowadays it dangerously points toward the soulless zone, so eventually the game design could become better than the art, and the art will become more about preserving than anything else

I Just use the same Transmog since Cata/MoP on my mains (Monk/Warrior), cause 99% of new Armors looks bad, boring or dont fit my Classfatasy.

I Would love to see new Classarmor and finaly some setpieces again

Are you factoring in all the sets they did? Heritage Armor? Warfronts? Leveling sets?

Contrary to what you might think, they actually did the same number of new armor sets in BFA as in Legion, it was just split up differently.

That's not true. They did about 56 unique sets, same as Legion.

Legion was something like: 8 leveling sets, 4 dungeon sets, 8 catch-up sets, 32 raid sets.

BFA was something like: 8 leveling sets, 4 dungeon sets, 4 catch-up sets, 16 warfront sets, 12 raid sets, 12 heritage sets.

Not counting little one-off sets here or there like the DH starting sets or the Brawler's Guild set.
