Well that is a different point all together. One I agree with inb4 shocked.jpg. But I also wouldnt be for legalizing them for kids, I'd let their brain develop first, mainly the frontal lobes which impacts decision making.
Same as gambling. But hey you seem to think its cool abusing peoples weakness to make a quick buck so I think im done with the convo. I actually have empathy for people so we clearly have different opinions on this.

Exactly how many establishments are limited in how much food they can sell someone? Even the disorderly fatasses who walk through their doors?
And I never get a rush from loot boxes. Which is rather the point. Just because someone is weak-willed or even has a psychological issue doesn't mean the company needs to be regulated around that. Those people have to deal with their issues individually.
The comparison is a silly one. I mean they're not gonna care about eating disorders if they dont give a shit about gambling addicts.
There needs to be some oversight into the market of online cards because of how many you can buy in a single sitting with no oversight. Someone will quickly become full on cupcakes and not be able to eat anymore. Someone can open card packs all day and night as long as their is money available

Food, compared to video games is necessary to life. So there should never be a limit or shortage of food. Like ever.

Game companies know this. Thats why there is no hard limit on how much you can spend. Which would actually be ethical to do. Even a prompt that say "uh oh, you have spend 30$ in the last hour, maybe reconsider next one?" or something - we have similar system for other things like "you watching this monitor for 3h straight TAKE A FUCKING BREAK"

But they're not loot boxes they're surprise mechanics
Yeah those poor people voting with their wallets for what is the biggest "funpay minibuy" scam in the industry that its not only more profitable than most AAA releases but sending the message its the goal all games from big publishers should chase is a crowd that should be lauded as the brave heroes they are and not complete fucking rubes that know better but do it anyway. All those guys who spend 2 grand on "muh feefa innit bruv" every other year can't be the butt of jokes for falling for the most transparent habit forming domapine release hustle since the invention of the strip club. Truly they are wise owls we have much to learn from and deserve respect.
Are you actually comparing people spending thousands on drawing virtual sportsball players to feel a momentary jasm of a dopamine rush in their bingbingwahoo games with people so poor they have to live on the street?
Like those are comparable life situations?
Yeah bro, i'm the asshole here.
Someone doesnt wake up suddenly homeless. Its a life time of battling their addiction or mental health issues and they are met with the same level of sympathy all their life as you give gambling addicts so naturally its a cycle that will keep going on and on. But hey one day they'll pull themselves up by the boot straps like you did!
