So what would be your first 3 moves as the new president in Jan 2021?


1- Long first move, but clear out every top administrative leader and direct reports that is/are unfit but was selected by Trump starting with USPS, Education, Housing and Environmental agencies.

2- Executive order #1, Fully bail out the post office. The implications of an underfunded USPS has been proven to be Bigly harmful to the country.
Trump set the legal standard, time to take 15-25 billion from his re-directed funds to the "wall", other re-directions and the military (since Trump and republicans both said it was legal).

3- Covid, mask mandate. If the CDC can force landlords not to be able to kick people out of their apartments why not a mask mandate?

Measures that Biden can implement without Congress.

Rejoin the Paris accord.

Reverse every single one of Trump's 186 EOs.

Reverse the Fed hiring freeze.

Rebuild the devastated Fed government bureaucracy.

As far as ACA is concerned here is a non-exhaustive list.

Extend the open enrollment period back to 90 days;
Undo many other changes in the “market stabilization” rule;
Revise the premium adjustment percentage methodology;
Roll back prior guidance on Section 1332 waivers;

Curb proliferation of short-term plans, and limit the sale or deceptive marketing practices of other limited benefit plans.

Stop issuing drilling leases on Federal land.

Tighten flaring regulations which is supported by every single oil majors. A bunch of small to medium oil companies will probably cry crocodile tears. Screw them.

Tighten permitting and review process for new drilling, pipeline and petrochemical projects.

Outright ban on all new offshore drilling programs in Federal water. However, exclude offshore wind farms.

Congress never stopped funding low-interest loans for renewable energy. However, DoE under Trump's administration has been slow-walking loan issuance. Time to accelerate those.

Cancel student loans for those that met PSLF requirement. Or just cancel Federally funded loans outright.

Strengthen worker's right. Not sure that he can increase Fed's minimum wage without Congress.

Cut emission and increase mileage. Easiest way is to let California implement it's EV, emission and mileage policy, and expand it's Cap and Trade program. Where California goes the rest of the country will follow.

All 3 I see as foundation issues. You want to show people that gun control laws or immigration laws need work, enforce the hell out of what you have. Who knows, maybe that will make things better, but if it makes things worse you can point to that as a need for change. Addressing pot is just about raw $$$ for the state/local government.

This is myopic... we were within a year of meeting regulations we set on our selfs. Something we can boast about and use to promote our technology. Before Trump withdrew, we were on a path to advertise US products and technology, through a symbolic gesture. It’s one of the fundamental issues with Trump’s foreign policy... he didn’t understand the impact of soft power on American products.
