Val, I've mentioned him causing me a bit of frustration because of his tight lip and refusing to engage more in depth, but that EOD proved to me he's part of town, not caring so much about his own life, I still think he should have DEFENDED himself but anyway

Cereal, I'm not sure tbh, I think there's standard logic with most of his posts, it's a slight townlean, but I might have to look into him again

Satsu is based on his quality content and a few takes on that emotional spat between players yesterday

Bageloaf has a townie vibe, that's about it but I'm not THAT certain

Cslap, I really disliked how he had a serious tone on fluff subjects, that's how he started the game, he was serious about the wrong things, not the 'meat' of this game aka finding the baddies

Bfox has some sort of a sly charisma in all of his posts that indicates untrustworthiness

Lora and Listo - I've been influenced by someone posting their meta. They mentioned that these 2 players act the same when town and scum, so it's practically impossible to know their real alignment this game

This list probably wouldn't have meant anything to me if I had read before the bombshell of Crackle getting a guilty on Cereal. That Cereal read is really questionable here. It's very wishy washy. It's "I think he's town...maybe? Sorta? But I'm gonna leave myself an out in case he's caught as not town by saying I should look again". Sounds like the sort of thing a mafian might say to try to simultaneously try to set up an ally as trusted, but not too trusted. Bageloaf's entry has a similar approach in less words, though he's not the one who is deemed guilty by cop.

Why the hell do you think I know how to read?

    - - - Updated - - -

This, the only thing I’m getting out of this is that the mafia is likely made out of veterans. Carts had lived long the last game and weren’t as active reads as an veteran who is wary about killing active players.

I’m also hella aus of people who would try to push a Val lynch now. It I was scum I’d have killed someone like catta and left Val alive and pushed to lynch them today for getter away d1
All you need is one veteran in the 4 man mafia to get those ethics in the scum team. The SK, on the other hand, doesn't have that kind of benefit, so very plausible our SK is a veteran.

For above stated reasons. I am explicitly saying that they are my preferred lynch target tomorrow barring another guilty, Clarinet being innocent, or some other chicanery.

Well, that certainly seems like an almost ham fisted attempt at hinting at a guilty (he's quoting Cereal). I can see why he's so scared of being NK'd now, there's no way that the mafia didn't notice him directly calling out Cereal like this. The sort of thing town likely won't notice, but scum will because...well...you're literally calling out a person you know is mafia.

I dont think deducing that conclussion so far would be insider information at all. After Val dodnt get lynched i felt pretty comfortable he was town and almost certain he wouldnt be killed, at least by the Mafia. Then there's the fact Val has votes already again suggests something.

I think town got lucky with the no lynch. There's also probably a lot of scum on Vals train in my opinion. Scum wouldnt miss the hammer.

But your comment has me very suspicious of you.

There's also the Firebert analysis that i havent mentioned yet. I will find some quotes when i get off my phone.
And he doubles down on it. Yeah, I'm saying that claiming was right at this point, you were going to die tonight.

Yah I botched the day opening a little bit. So rarely have played cop. Finding it more difficult than VT despite having more information lol.

Playing it cool is usually the best method unless you're going to outright claim. Practically challenging your guilty target to mortal combat is a sure fire way to make them think you are a cop with a guilty, unless WIFOM gets the better of them and they think you're bluffing or trying to soak a kill as a vt or bomb. Town doesn't know they are mafia, so subtlety is often lost on them, but mafia does know, so they can get paranoid and are looking for these hints quite often.

A cop just claimed and said he has a guilty on somebody. That's generally going to dramatically limit our course of action for the day, not much discussion generally happens that isn't directly related to the cop, or the investigation results. The rest of this day is likely to be me responding to old posts (because I'm so far behind), Cereal making a claim that people most likely won't believe, and Cereal getting lynched. There is a small chance that Cereal could pull off something to get out of being lynched, but it's unlikely.

An exception would be if we were in a position where a cop claim by scum would likely be very beneficial to them, such as if they only needed one more mislynch to win.

With a cop investigation leading the way, the votes from this point forward are practically useless for scum hunting. Those allied with the guilty almost never put up any resistance to lynching the guilty ally, for obvious reasons. Town likewise don't typically put up resistance to a guilty getting lynched, for even more obvious reasons.

Exactly this, if anything we will be able to look at how Cereal voted on D1 and their interactions with other players to get ideas on who they could be partnered with. But yay for most of D2 being useless for my vote analysis tomorrow! CURSE YOU CRACKLE!

At this point, votes are either going to be against Cereal because he's guilty, or not on him as a placeholder to allow Cereal to respond to the accusation. In rarer cases (not likely this one given circumstances), you can see debates where people say that the cop claim should be lynched instead.

I point once again to a previous post where I say that Clarinet is looking a little suspicious (I refuse to use "suss" ugh) given their read on Cereal.

    Not really...

You literally had someone claim cop with a guilty on someone. Are you paying attention?

    - - - Updated - - -

I will follow on to the cereal train at some point as they were sus to me. Still think SkinFlute is sus as hell to, so will keep my vote there for now.

Yup. Clarinets read on Cereal piqued my interest in them. Likewise, Cereal also having them in their sus pile with very similar vote patterns. I feel like most people will mention at least on of their teammates somewhere in their read list.

    My ones leaning town:

Dupti: He seems to be analyzing everything that people are saying over multiple posts and it just feels like town-like behavior.
Graeham: His playstyle seems to be different this game from the last. Could easily be faked, but it just sees like he is invested in town's survival
Crackle: Has been defending the trains on Val and Marack. With both of them seeming like VTs, it leads me to believe you are trying to prevent mis-lynches.

    Ones leaning scum:

Listo: Doing the same thing as last game. Will come in and post occasionally, but then disappear for an extended period of time. I'm also pretty sure he said somewhere, during previous game, that he used the U.S. election as an excuse to why he wasn't posting much as scum.
Xanjori: The unvote thing just didn't sit right with me. Especially now more since it was 1 vote away from lynch and he is a more experienced player. Seems like a play to say "oh I did vote but forgot unvote"
Satsu: I have no actual reason for this other than a gut-feeling. He seems to be engaging a lot with posting instead of suiciding like in last game when he was a VT. But I believe it was Clarinet who had said he does act like a detective in other games so I could be wrong.

    Suspicions:

Clarinet: If it's believed that the SK targeted Firebert to throw suspicions on me, he was the first person to bring it up. Not saying this means anything, as he could have just noticed it, but something that is in the back of my mind.
Bwonsamdi: Still not posting much of substance, but she is actually answering questions. I'm just not sure if that is because she feels more comfortable or is having a team assist her.

Most everyone else I don't have a read on or they have not posted anywhere near enough for me to form an opinion, which I hopefully will over the course of this day. It's tough to really get a full read with how early it is and how little some people have actually voted, especially with people "not" voting. I'm also trying not to let everyone's opinions influence mine before I can come to one on my own and use theirs as supporting thoughts to mine.

A lot of that could be just my head-canon, too, but that is where I am leaning currently.
If I'm not misreading, the "suspicions" category where Cereal places Clarinet is less of a "I'm suspicious that they are scum" and more a "they've done things I've noticed that I'm not sure about". At the risk of saying I'm guilty of tunnel vision here, that's also similar to Clarinet's read on Cereal "This is something that maybe is bad for them, but I'm not gonna actually commit to it being bad" wishy washy stuff, just throwing slight shade on them instead of slight trust while definitely having others they want to lynch before them.
