Honestly, it is really funny reading Kuntantee's posts about how he dislikes Erdogan, while at the same time we know from his previous posts that he supports everything Turkey is doing at the moment (especially the part where they "get rid of Kurdish terrorists"). At no point he mentions the obvious connection between the man in charge and those policies...

It's like throwing trash into your neighbors lawn, and one time he got super mad and killed your dog. But you keep doing it cause....you enjoy making him mad? Huh.
The point is not always turning the other cheek and not accepting the hostile backwards thinking. If a cartoon enrages someone so much they are willing to behead for it, then they are at fault, not the cartoon, no matter how retarded or insulting that cartoon might be.

Like, ok, but I better not see any surprised pikachu faces from the French when they get retaliated against.

I, personally, would rather not draw cartoons than piss off a bunch of people, but that's just me.

That's just going to create issues for muslims. It wouldn't surprise me at all if in some point in the future that what happens in Myanmar will fade in comparison to what will happen in Europe when people tire of attacks. They're playing with fire.

I'd rather they not give nationalist parties more fuel. That's going to end badly for all minorities, not just them.

So apparently the Armenians in Artsakh know what comes next; population exchange/ethnic cleansing. Some have started fleeing their homes, and rather than let their homes and businesses get looted/taken over by Azeris, are torching their buildings as they leave.

True to form, the Azeris are crying about it, calling it "ecological terrorism".

    https://apnews.com/article/peacekeep...8331e6113463c9

The Azeris are promising to "protect" Christians in Artsakh when they take it over. However, there's already reports of Azeris and their Turkish-backed terrorist militia allies desecrating churches.

We all know what's going to happen, the Armenians are going to be driven out of one of their ancestral provinces, just like in Turkey.

What remains to be seen is how many will die "mysteriously" and through no fault, of course, of the Azeris and their Turkish allies. We are talking about a country that treats Ramil Safarov, a convicted murderer, like a national hero.
Turks and Azeris have been desecrating and trying to erase all history before their ancestors invasions and conquests of those regions for well over a century now. Heck that was Ataturks policy.

Erdogan is a dictator who continues to fuel a war and genocide of the Armenians just like his country did decades ago. He isn't exactly in a position to be whining about getting mocked with satire. Honestly, the dude needs to be removed, Turkey deserves better than that maniac and he's a threat to peace in the region.

One of the many unfortunate by-products of the Trump era over the past 4 years has been his isolationism which caused a whole lot of consequences directly and indirectly around the world. It gave countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan free reign to do whatever it wanted regionally without any concern over the US getting involved or even retaliating diplomatically. Thousands of Armenians and Kurds died as a result of that absence of policy. In the power void that Trump left with no US policy there, Erdogan began becoming expansionist and acting on those plans in Syria, Armenia , Greece, and Libya.

Moreover, France who has interests in North Africa and in stopping expansionism began to become more alarmed about this and started pushing back on Erdogan about 9 months ago. Militarily France has moved a lot more assets to the area, and Erdogan's stated intent of restoring the Ottoman Empire crescent includes French territories so they have a direct interest. So this has been brewing fairly warm for much of 2020 between France and Turkey long before the latest cartoon. The cartoon and harsh response is just 1 of many symptoms of the poor relationship. The reception would not be warm for Macron in Istanbul even if the latest cartoon never happened. And the first cartoon wasn't ever really forgiven either.

Turkey is going to be a huge problem on the world stage for a lot of countries moving forward. A long-time and very strategic NATO partner right on Russia's border, with US nukes in place, who is very very strong militarily...but who is also nationalistic, Islamic, and expansionist first over any NATO commitment. And to throw another wrench in things, for a country that isn't a super-power Turkey is quite good at making their own weapons. The TB2 drone performance is well known, but even just in terms of guns they are extremely capable. Quite a few of the guns we buy in gun shops in the US have a Made in Turkey stamp.

So what does France, Biden, etc. and the world do with Erdogan? Macron and Biden have both recently said that the Turkey situation will need to be dealt with. Trump's approach of sending him a letter nicely asking him to stop didn't work (actually we learned later that Erdogan took Trump's letter, crumpled it up and threw it in the trash immediately after reading it, to show how Four Seasons Landscaping badly that went). Erdogan already was upset with Trump over the Jerusalem embassy move decision. But Macron and Biden going hard and pushing a very strong militarily (semi-)ally out of NATO seems like a recipe for disaster too. Erdogan isn't going to be interested in smoothing things over anytime soon either, either Hebdo cartoon is unforgivable in his eyes. Turkey is going to be at the top of the list of diplomatic fires that will need to be fixed after January 20th.

Your airspace is a weird one. It is the only airspace in the world that's larger than territorial waters.

The delimitation of national airspace claimed by Greece is unique, as it does not coincide with the boundary of the territorial waters. Greece claims 10 nautical miles (19 km) of airspace, as opposed to currently 6 miles of territorial waters.
The that 6nm difference is considered a violation by Greece. Both in water and in air, you have uni-laterally declared extent of your space, without trying to strike a deal with Turkey. Normally, when claims overlap, sides try to come to an understanding. Greece has declared that they will not accept the authority of ICJ when it comes to Aegean. You may not see it due to your bias, but stance of Greece is extremely aggressive and then they dare reflect this on Turkey and call us aggressive.

Things aren't as black and white as you think it is.

Finally, we make no territorial demands from Greece or Cyprus. The dispute is on mostly waters. As for Cyprus, we have already agreed to Annan plan, which was refused by Greeks.

It is sad to see that you have transformed to a standard Greek zealot. You may want to tune down the garbage you swallow from mainstream Greek media.

Yeah, I don't care to entertain the view of someone who carries water for Erdogan. Maybe if you and your countrymen stopped re-electing that hateful, murderous, limp-dicked little neo-Sultan and causing problems for nearly every bordering country you wouldn't have to cry about your feelings being hurt by all the "hate" Turkey gets.

Yeah, that is pretty disappointing. How can anyone else help the Uighurs if other Muslim states are collaborating with China?

Let me trigger bunch of people by asking you a question - do you know why United Nations are so obsessed with resolutions condemning/about Israel?
If yes, then you know why Islamic countries are not condemning China.

he was not like this first. Please check how he came into power, how he fared in his first 4 years then how he slowly succumbed to corruption.
now they are trying to get rid of him. last years elections was a big blow. lost all the big cities. especially istanbul was a humiliating defeat.

turks are loyal to their leaders and will suffer for a long time for them, their country. but not for so long it seems.
plus, the west has big responsibility when it comes to erdogan. it is not like you are innocent.

Does anyone seriously believe that Islamic countries are a bloc? Hardly surprising.

Why would they be, anyway? Christian countries aren't a bloc either. This isn't the fucking Crusades.

Not saying they're a bloc, but the fact that they are putting money ahead of stopping the genocide of an Islamic group speaks volumes about their priorities, much like the West putting business ahead of stopping the genocide.

It definitely makes Arab and European protestations about the Palestinians rather limp and hollow.
