There's an argument to be made that Pizza is neither Italian nor American....but actually Byzantine... but that's starting to split hairs.

To be fair, "New York Style" Pizza was created by Italian Immigrants. So, "Americans" didn't "screw up" Italian Food...Italians came to America and then "screwed up" Italian Food.
Pepperoni
Spicy italian sausage
Mushrooms
Onions
Black Olives
Garlic
Red and green peppers
Extra sharp cheddar
For calzones my go to is double mushroom, double onion, double italian sausage, and double garlic.
And yes,my breath is reeks afterwards, but it's so damn tasty.
Pizza Hut used to be the best but it's not nearly as good as before. They're skimping on a lot of ingredients and toppings. I always go for meat lovers with hot peppers.
Anything but anchovies and pineapple.

Taco pizza is pretty great (shout out to happy joes). Deep dish with sausage and pep is my favorite though. Just wish there was a place near me that sold quality deep dish. Only one place near me serves it at all and it doesn't really sate the desire.

Bad combo of flavors. Cheese and pineapple don't go together. Neither do tomatoes and pineapple.
What's the best pizza crust?
Thin Crust
Chicago Deep Dish Crust
Stuffed Crust
Flatbread
Sicilian Style Crust
Neapolitan Crust
NY Style Crust
I'm gonna pick Stuffed Crust and Chicago Deep Dish. Although I like all crusts.

peperoni, onions, black olives for me
crust - see location, lou malnati's specifically.
I like plain pizza. Plain. No toppings. The only reason to put toppings on a pizza is because it's thick and too bready.
Here's a plain cheese pizza from a place near me.
Here's a pic of (Margarita) pizza from Brooklyn:
Actually my favorite pizza is this other place from Brooklyn that's similar to the pic above, but I haven't gone to Brooklyn in over a year. (Because of COVID + my job's office switched to Manhattan instead of Brooklyn.)
Sorry but, toppings on those kinds of pizzas would ruin the natural, simple taste.
Pizza be good. Who isn't in the mood for pizza most of the time?
As for pizza the past couple of months I been making my crusts from scratch. With no flour. I usually make a couple at a time, vac seal and throw in the freezer. Makes it easily accessible when I am in the mood for some pizza. It's been doing wonders for me.
Oh I finally made some gumbo this week. It's my first time making that particular dish. Unfortunate, but true and it came out awesome. Slow-cooked that bad boy, lots of left overs too. Will be having some later tonight.
Edit: Figured I might as well share my first scratch from pizza with no flour. First rounds of crusts. Like I said I started doing this a couple months ago.. I made a deluxe pizza for my first go at it.
Completely from scratch.
Oh and slow cooker gumbo for tonight. It doesn't look as nutritious but! I think it's hard to make it look super appealing. Anyways with so much left I should freeze some but instead, I probably live off it for the next couple of days.
