Any ability breaks the flow of the MM rotation, so we should get an MM revamp regardless.
After that though I would argue that Flayed Shot is still the most fitting ability thematically for MM. Though in thinking about it I guess the same is true for Wild Spirits if we got a less magical reskin of the ability.

It flows well enough at least IMO without much "just sitting there doing nothing" Unless you like that kind of thing, I'm no mind reader.

An easy reskin would be a trap of some sort. A trap with rigged explosives or something. Works the same as WS, you throw it down and when you shoot mobs it will trigger explosions in stead of calling down lasr beams from the sky.

For BM i could see a reskin where each attack triggers a beast attacking.
Whereas with MM just an arrow falling from the sky would fit better.
A trap seems like it might work for a Survival reskin.

Dataminers found out that it was associated with Undergarments but unknown source. Some stating Blood Elf Undergarments? Some people thought it is related to a more Politically Correct Undergarment changing which fair enough. Who knows though?

But yeah, most people came to the conclusion it was tied to some Elf underwear but whether it is the Darkfallen or if Blood Elf will have new underwear is unknown.

I also thought it was undergarments but I don't have the tools (if they exist?) to try and put them on a race to see them displayed.

Interesting, maybe we will be allowed to change our undergarments in some capacity? Or considering the desing of the Drac'thyr ones it could be an option for them and it is not elf related. Either way, its interesting.

Honestly, I feel like they've withheld customizations for some sort of PR Push and I mean this is certainly an odd thing to just randomly add to the game for it not to be part of a larger package. But, again it's probably just hopium.

Ion said they wanted to drop talent trees pre alpha, following past on the CDN to data-mineable cycles it should be online in 2-3 weeks when we'd be able to data mine the trees anyway. They also bragged about a Dracthyr customization blog they were working on weeks ago. Instead we got another WotLK interview for some reason. Blizz plz I'm starving for new info.

Respectfully disagree, with the exception of Tomb of Sargeras due to tier set bonus I've hated MM flow since they revamped it in Legion, and I've been a hunter main since 2004 thay always liked the ranger/petless class fantasy .. (:

It has been clear ever since Legion that Blizzard has no idea what Marksmanship is supposed to be about beyond Aimed Shot being a long cast time ability that deals loads of damage. And nowhere is this more apparent than in their talent trees. Nothing but random "deal more damage", or "reduce cast time", or sometimes even blatantly unfitting abilities like Murder of Crows or Serpent Sting.

MM is in desperate need for someone to sit down and consider what the core spec rotation is supposed to be about, because otherwise it will just continue being aimless.

Yep, even the core abilities clash on concept levels. Are you the careful sniper that takes aim and fires deadly shots or the rapid firing bulletstorm? MM is both!

And even the cooldown is weird in that it's a noob trap that has lower dps if you spend the arcane shot procs from aimed during it and cap on aimed charges etc, even tho arcane shot lights up.

Definitely needs another hard look at, spec is all over the place and feels janky af imo.
