You just have to imagine that they announced Diablo Immortal at Blizzcon 2018. A mobile game (even if it’s a very good one) - and it gets released 3.5 years later.

Imagine how long it will take for this fully fleshed out survival game to come out when they are still hiring.

I'm worried about Dragon Isles because that's the expansion I actually want. And everytime I want something Blizzard does something else.
I wanted Nerubians we got WoD, I wanted Void or Nazjatar and we got Bfa. (Trchnically I still got my wish with bfa, but I wouldn't say I was particulary happy with the outcome).

I've been hoping for the Dragon Isles ever since Caydiem or whoever leaked that original roadmap. My only consolation if we don't get it next is that I'm not sure that I want the concept wasted on the current team and "global situation." At the very least, that's why I want a class - something to bring forward into content that I might actually enjoy.

Yes, but Blizzard announcing a completely new game in a new universe with a tweet? Not even a video? I find it reeeeally weird. I mean they usually announce stuff like this in an epic way.

He did have its own arc, yes - he wasn't entirely fridged. But in retrospect, the only legacy he has is through Thrall's development. I would say that his tenure as Warchief set the Horde up to be aggressive warmongers again... but the current writers seemingly didn't play WarCraft III or vanilla/TBC WoW and were already writing them as villains simply because of a surface level "oRcS aRe bAd" impression.

That is a sensible enough statement, I suppose.

They never use preexisting concept art for a newly-added race in their screen. This art already exists. Given that it overlays properly, that suggests it wouldn't be in the context of placeholder, as that would require extraneous and unnecessary effort.

Announcements are starting to come out, I wonder if we've got anything else besides the store mount+survival game.

It's too early for the next Hearthstone expansion. HS announcement would be the mid-expansion event where they announce new cards for the current expansion.

THey said there'd be two announcements at the end of January unless I'm getting my wires crossed.

And WoW has 9.2 in need of a date, 10.0 in need of a reveal, and Hearthstone also is due for an expansion reveal.

I mean we still need the date for the 9.2 launch, so that’s something that they definitely could announce. Way more likely than anything related to the upcoming expansion.
