Not to be a pedantic dick or anything but group finder is pre-made. Auto queue is called RDF or LFR.

Which is something I mentioned in my edit.

EDIT: My mistake, I confused LFD for Group Finder. Brain not work so good. Even still, they said "only group finder", whereas you can invite people via Battle.tag, RealID, or Communities, so it still shows they don't know what they're talking about.

What to worry about? 9.2 is like 3-4 weeks away, so Jailer cinematic 5-6 , I doubt they would wait for last campaign chapter, cause likely that's just some epilogue for Sylvanas not connected to 10.0 at all. Again, assuming only spoilers hold them back at this point.

There's no real reason the expansion reveal would be tied to the release of 9.2. Besides expansion teasers being released before the final raid, this expansion seems to be totally unrelated to whatever follows it. The datamining suggests there is not some big twist: The Jailer is simply defeated & Sylvanas exiles herself to the maw to clear out the souls that reside there.

The reason could be that Blizzard has always been forced to reveal it at Blizzcon before, and that it's better in regards to hype to have most, if not all of the old baggage being removed before announcing the new thing.
Would be a fantastic capoff to a blighted expansion to signify we are done with it by getting a 10.0 trailer.

Only that they prefer the expansion hype to last a full year. You say "forced" here as if it's not Blizzard itself who decides when Blizzcon is held.

Forced as in they cannot realistically move Blizcon solely to make the WoW reveals that tiny bit better.
Blizcon has been in Q3 every year for years now, with the Blizzconline l.ast year and the cancelled Blizconline this year as outliers.

You could stretch a bit and say that Blizzard decided to reassess how the game was doing once the Microsoft deal became a possibility.
Lower level employees would almost definitely not know, but employees like Ion might have known that a Microsoft deal was on the table for a while.

Given that they have a history of pulling features like this ahead, i really don't see any need for that. You're basically adding an explanation for something that doesn't need one.

Oh no, the explanation is definitely not needed, especially since the explanation is basically that Blizzard isnt just incompetent, they are actively malicious and only mended their awys because of Microsoft.
Point is that just because we the consumers knew about the aquisition now doesnt mean that the most senior employees at Blizzard didnt.

Imo they just needed something exciting for 8.2.5 and SL drought in general. Legion had Allied Races, scalled world, legendary vendor useful for Mage Tower, new battleground. BfA had massive XP boost, introducing reputation boosts to timewalking, corruption vendor (must be more, I remember they handled drought very well).

But SL already made systems alt friendly in 9.1.5 and 9.2 don't require massive catch ups, only thing they could add in 8.2.5 is maybe Renown 80 token and further Anima/offerings increase. Barely anyone cares about new arena. So it's perfect time for something like cross faction, especially if it's instanced version that doesn't require big changes.
