Is there a possibility that the next expansion was already leaked?

People don't give a flying fuck if someone wants to take a shortcut and get boosted by a guild, this is what always happened and will happen. But this entire industry with it adverts is what pisses people off.
Boosters can't force people to hire them. Boosters only exist because there is a demand for their services.
A demand driven by players that can't or won't accept their skill level.
There wouldn't be any spamming of adverts if those pathetic scrubs didn't buy boosts.

I personally don't like boosting and the advertising either,
but I am aware enough to recognize that this problem exists because of the buyers - they are the true destroyers of the game.

Parts of it almost certainly have, just by virtue of someone guessing right. Although I don't imagine the entire thing has been in one of these large expansion leak posts.

No, because if the context of the Final Cinematic is attached to the next expansion no one has come close yet to a logical one and everything has been vaguery.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

Ye, the same Mannoroth and Archimonde that sent orcs on a happy little rampage across Azeroth. And hey, Grom just killed Nelves demigod! If you think everyone would go "all is forgiven lol" then you don't know how people operate.

But, we're not talking about "everyone", we're talking about heroes and adventurers.

So it's fine that Stormwind citizens don't want to see an orc in their streets, NPCs should have factions. But players shouldn't, because they're not the norm, they're the exception. Unique individuals who save others from threats that are often caused by such prejudices, usually by working together with individuals from races that their compatriots would despise.

To clarify, I'd keep certain reputations and zones race-specific, but completely remove the link between playable races and "playable factions", to essentially destroy the latter. Orcs are not welcome in Teldrassil, but Tauren are (or, would be, if the tree hadn't burned, but you get my point).

    They can be either.

I think 10.0 might be about to do some massive changes. We'll see how it pans out but there's a lot more meat to all of this than their usual corpo speak.
An important point is also that they realise this is pretty much one-way. Once they've given the ability, there's no good way to take it away again, so they have to be careful not to open it to far because they'd be stuck with it.

Factions would be fine if not every single expansion ended with "Damn, maybe us fighting is kinda stupid and we need to learn how to co-exist so we don't destroy each other." and the only reason faction war happens is idiotic plot points because you can't really make it happen organically at this point.

We kind of can't. You can close your eyes and pretend that your character is a loyal Stormwind footsoldier. But outside of Dazar'alor, any dungeon or raid you go to, as well as most questchains, will make it very clear that you are working together with your enemy. If you can currently ignore all of that and make your own headcanon, you certainly can ignore players of the other faction being in your group as well.

It really truly jumped the shark in ICC. Literally storming the Lich Kings keep but hey lets throw in faction nonsense because it totally makes sense for all of these high ranking strategists to waste resources on a petty nonsensical fight while actively inside of ICC.
Yes, let's have a big fight with lots of casualties right in the courtyard of the world's most powerful necromancer. Surely there is no way this could possibly bite us in the behind.

Hey, weren't there less skeletons marching around when we started?

I still say they are fine and yes I get it fighting off third party threats together does make it silly to fight each other considering the whole "There are bigger problems to deal with." scenario.

There are precedents in real world : France / Germany for example. We had 3 successive wars in the span of a century. Yet, I can go and casually stroll in Berlin without an issue. I live in a place that was almost razed by the Nazis and now Germans can come without being attacked or anything.
You really think it would be different in a fantasy world that went full "Draenor is free" love fest just after a bloody campaign?
It would be even easier after a revamp with a small timejump.

Would all players like it? Probably not. But it is time to let the factions die. Past time even.

Would also be a good opportunity for some neat NPC interractions.
Maybe the Teldrassil refugees yell or emote at you when you run past them if you play a Horde character, or Silver moon guards grumbling if you run past as a Night Elf.
The world revamp dream will never die!

I find it bizarre players expect lore unity amongst massively different species when humans don't even operate this way.

    Yup.
Letting the factions die doesn't mean ending any potential future conflict or epic war. Au contraire, it will only allow us to experience new tensions, new stories.

In the long run, it could also bring new features for PvP, like X vs Y vs Z for new BGs instead of Alliance vs Horde.
That's a simple example, but that will bring new gameplay opportunities, new story opportunities.

Did you see the Empire of Dragons logo?

I‘m just bringing this up until it becomes reality.

I'm assuming the Empire of Dragons logo is fake since the person who posted it never gave a source unlike the Shadowlands logo leak which IIRC was from an email?
