It's not just him, Taliesin/Evitel are also echoing the hype, so something is likely on the way. I'd say expect a 9.2 date and be happily surprised if there's anything else.

10.0 announcement has to be good.
They cant just tease stuff with a few slides and pictures without any details. I mean sure they can, but there would be a huge shitstorm "see again no content, they are far behind, ...". And they have to be reasonably sure that they can meet the release date deadline with a game in a good state. No more delays, cut content and buggy as hell/ untuned releases.

10.0 has to be a banger I agree. If its going to be the same as Sl feature trailer then im out. Cus the trailer already showed us what features we would get.. nothing jumped out besides thorghast..

They really cant afford another weak trailer with basically nothing.. that time is over.

Yea I mean even bfa was more exciting as we saw zandalari and nightborne being added. I got excited for legion cus of class halls and a new class.

After the sl feature trailer.. I was watching it with my bro and we both were like: whas that it? There was no hype, no excitement. Nothing was jumping out..

New race or new class has to be in 10.0 for me to hopefully get that same excitement like Legion for example. I 100% agee with your stance, I had the same feeling.

My greatest fear is that they've basically forgotten how to do hype reveals (or laid off all the PR staff). Every video announcement they did in 2021 was awful.

Bfa did one thing right and that was they showed us these interviews or stances from the devs with ion and that curlyhair dude. 2020 and 2021 were just to silent.

This is so true! I remember the talk that we would get more stuff announced. Only to hear that, this was it. So many wasted potential with this death theme. We could have gotten dark ranger or necromancer or some much needed attention for death knights... this was that time.

Nothing came out of it and this theme will likely not return anytime soon. I feel sorry for my DK tbh.

But what would be the gameplay there? What would it add really?

Feels like a more closed off envoirment.. then say class halls. Guildhalls feels like that could be an option as more people will be using it. Just able to furnish some place without much other reasons it might feel holllow. I wouldnt really like another mission table either, we had that for 3 expansion now...

Yeah, people talk a good game about not caring if we get new races or classes, but when we don’t get them, you definitely feel it when a new expansion drops. Especially if you don’t get either.

The lack of a new Necromancer or Dark Ranger class in Shadowlands was very surprising, if not shocking for a lot of players.

Not everything should be gameplay related you know. In that case, remove pet battles for example ?

Btw A lot of MMO have housing, so why not WoW ?

In 9.1 PTR they marked build as release same day date was revealed (12 days before launch), despite that there was different build day before.

I expect 22nd February release, so next week build with music on Wednesday and date+release build next day. I could also see everything taking 1 more week, but patch 8th March or later would be pretty strange.

Yeah, I think Feb 22 / Mar 1 are the most plausible dates. Feb 15 could be, if they announce it today. I guess we'll see. Feb 22 seems kinda fitting though with GW2 expansion just a few days later.

And sorry, but who is really considering anything related to the next expansion without a proper announcement that it's coming? Blizzard isn't going to randomly announce the next expansion on a Thursday without noticing everybody days before.

Surprise album releases are a thing, but a surprise expansion announcement? With the hype starting to build after? Uhm...
