I really like that Galakaros leak, I do not believe it to be true, but it's a strong contender in my opinion. First of all because Galakaros is lazy enough AND smart enough to be a real WoW name, as Blizzard has a history of copy-pasting real-life culture and places, in this case the Galapagos, giving it the WoW twist and linking it to Galakrond.
Second of all, the living world being a vast cross-expansion plan to make the world evergreen is also one of the best things that could happen to Wow at this point, recreating the "world" of warcraft, while still developing expansions which take place somewhere else than the old world.
I hope we get some fresh news next week!
That would be a fantastic feature to me indeed, but I tend to directly invalidate "leaks" that subitely, by chance, contains the latest datamined thing in order to make it believable. (living world)
I wait for the day a leak will contain an ass-pull feature, only to be datamined AFTER the leak. It was always the other way around, and all of them were always false IIRC
But the leaker made me really doubt with his believable WIP press release.
On a side note, if AoG turns out to be true, it would be weird to have again a name close to a concurrent ("Ashes of Creation"), after all the "Shadowlands/Shadowbringers" comparisons I saw
Same until I got to the part about it just being Galapagos merged with Galakrond. I'm fine with the name but Galakros is easier to say even if Galakaros is more interesting with the Galapagos angle. I'd probably have to hear it said a bunch to automatically read it correctly and not have to stop and remind myself of the extra letter.
I have to admit, the idea of Azeroth being a giant loli with some kind of Fifth Element-esque crap bores me to tears. I rather detest the idea of Azeroth just turning out to be a petulant and fetishistic "le innocent" character—that, and a mix of that personality and power teeters on the edge of Mary Sue-dom even by the standards of the Le Big Destined Heroine Who Will Totally Defeat the Void. I much prefer the idea of her being a cruel and militant war goddess—it does make sense, given what's happened on her surface. I always pictured her as being a highly concise, calculating figure who – if she ever spoke directly to the player – would be very sinister in nature, her requests communicated by wordless and context-less emergence of quest objectives which ought to be extrapolated to be her commands.
My particular fantasy was always that you'd be fighting some kind of enemy of Azeroth and, when you finally get to hear what Magni was hyping up as a beautiful sequence of imagery or a "song", it's only communicated to the player in a very subtle way to convey Azeroth's real personality—you'd just get the objective "procure incendiaries".
No I rather have Azeroth have a softer personality then being some god of war esque person. Less Garrosh and Varian pre MoP and more middleground and not whatever you suggested and really its not bad if Azeroth is a bit more on the compassionate side. I mean it would be an improvement compared to the Titans being a bit standoffish
Hopefully the less manipulative interpatation of athena(Like in God of War)In my head i always imagined Azeroth as an Athena-esque figure.

I dig that old, troll fan art:
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
Why would waking Azeroth be beneficial to humanoids in the slightest?
Azeroth is derived from Azatoth, the blind demon sultan whose awakening will end the world.
Looking at full size Sargeras - how much do you think is left of the planet Sargeras after that emerged, even if somewhat less demonic back then?
This is a signature of an ailing giant, boundless in pride, wit and strength.
Yet also as humble as health and humor permit.
Furthermore, I consider that Carthage Slam must be destroyed.
I hope Azeroth is a troll, with trolls being one of the few native races, but it's gonna be an Elf anyway.
