With all of the HYPE/"leaks" about Dragon Isles (95%+ of them), how will people feel if/when we do not get a dragon expansion?

I think everyone might be setting themselves up for a world of disappointment.

Here's the problem: none of these leaks, NONE OF THEM, are true. How do I know? It's simple: every single leak we've had on MMOC that's turned out to be real was a short list... the sort of thing you'd expect someone to jot down on a cocktail napkin as someone rambles off a few of the main selling points.

Real leaks are tiny fragments, high level stuff like the level cap, setting, name, maybe a few words about story. Real leaks are NOT these massive ten paragraph pieces of fiction that give some very creative writers satisfaction that they've contributed to the nonsense.

Also leaks were much closer to Blizzcon, but now that it is gone and we don't know when the reveal is due... it complicates things.

I just enjoy reading what everyone else is speculating. The "leaks" are fun to read, even more fun to hear everyone's reactions to each one. I hope that the raid in 9.2 gives us a glimpse/way forward as to where we may be going with the story in 10.0. Something I think a lot of people are overlooking with the Sepulcher raid is the following:
1). There are 4 datamined cinematics for the raid (not just the very likely end of Jailer encounter one).
2). There's always RP/dialogue on boss fights before, during, and likely after each encounter. With the final 3 bosses NOT being on the PTR, we very well could get some interesting story tidbits through the dialogue within these encounters.
3). While we obviously have the "Title" for the Jailer fight, the death animation(s) for the fight, and the abilities in the dungeon journal for the fight, we have no idea how it will go/end (both in-game and with the cinematic). We've had fights in the past with "Famed Slayer" Titles as well as death animations and they meant nothing. SO, who knows?

We've had expansions in the past where the end tier didn't necessarily line up with the next storyline (expansion). However, I do believe the end of 9.2 will tie directly to 10.0 due to the gravity of the situation.

TLDR; I'm HYPE AF!

Azeroth has already been used. Don’t underestimate the stupidity of the average consumer. There’s a reason that the Wii U failed and the Switch has outperformed the Wii. Consumers didn’t realize that the former was a new product, and the latter is literally a call to action telling them to “switch” to the new console.

Yes, that's exactly the point. There's no evidence whatsoever as it is a work of fiction we are discussing, thus why it is still among all the other unlikely hypotheses.
Also you're overestimating what hypotheses are; they are literally just theories on how things work, though i suppose we could let this devolve into a semantics discussion if i had a care to.

Except there is evidence and it directly contradicted that particular hypothesis. Now you're throwing in a conjecture based on nothing but superficial similarities and try to draw conclusions from that.

A theory is a hypothesis with a considerable body of evidence. It's not lesser, it's higher up the totem pole. Every theory is about how things work.

If i take a guess, 10.0 would contain both Dragon Isles and Undermine, Tinkers, yes, as well Void Lords presence and both Light one.

Based on a pattern of how Blizzard always take 2-3 themes, make one global and another local (Lich King+Old God, Deathwing+Elementals, Suramar+Legion, Horde v Alliance+Old Gods etc), im sure there will be two themes at least in 10.0.

How would i imagine the premise of 10.0.

We have Dragon Isles, and on a paper this theme looks exactly LOCAL.
Now, we need the global theme, and that would be, cause we has nothing else left, either VOID, or LIGHT, or BOTH.
Now, how can we put Tinkers into it?
Simply, use the whole Goblins+Gnomes theme as a prologue way to lead the way to Dragon Isles.

Options:
1) Have Undermine as starting zone in 10.0, through which we can seek the way to Dragoin Isles. Said, the way to DI lies through the depths of Undermine.
2) If Dragon Isles are floating in the sky, make it that we can only reach them via hard navigation that only Goblins and Gnomes can create and use.
3) Make it so Goblins are ALREADY on the Dragon Isles and harvest its rich resources. We goes there because they excavated some Ancient Evil.

Now, You have Undermine (lvl 50-52 zone, one dungeon), Tinkers, which are start of the expansion, that lead to Dragon Isles (lvl 52-60 zone). Here happen 10.0, here we have 5-6 dungeons, here we have first raid. Story ends with something like boom - we found out the ancient buried portal to, said, Kaa'resh and goes there. Key characters are Alleria and Locuswalker.

10.1 happens here. New zone with 1-2 dungeons and new raid, where we deal with local Void Lords minions. When returns to Azeroth we finds out Yrel finally came back.
10.2 devotes to fighting her back on Azeroth. New raid, with Turalyon as an end-boss. It ends with Arathor and Alleria freeing Turalyon.
10.3 we returns to Draenor. Shattrath Raid. Last three bosses are Garrosh Lightscream, Yrel and one of the Arch-Naaru.
Defeating them we triggers the next event that leads us to 11.0.

Maybe its some Necromancers from Maldraxxus coming to Northrend to help the Ebon Blade?

Actually I was just thinking after all the Necromancer talk that if there were a time for that class, it would've been with Shadowlands tearing the veil and pouring the power of Death into the universe. Even the aftermath of such an event would still be a great time for it. The Maldraxxus content gave a lot in the way of new designs and character to the concept of an 'Scourge' type undead faction.

If not a class, then maybe Maldraxxi as a new allied race.
