I mean, at some point there is simply too many games being released, and holding expansion fucks up entire content plan.

It isn't being released though.

You guys act like E3/its new digital equivalents didn't constantly drop dozens of brand new game announcements in the same presentation. It does not matter at all how many games are coming out in February, because 10.0 is going to be released somewhere in the late-fall 22 to early spring 23 region. People are not going to be SO BUSY playing Elden Ring in 10 days that they won't be able to hear about an expansion announcement or watch its 2 minute trailer, and they will have 9+ months to decide if they want to buy it, including beta, which always acts as a more in-depth teaser of the features and content of an expansion.

It'll be interesting to see how close the expansion announcement and alpha are to each other, too. They can literally announce 10.0 tomorrow if they wanted to and wait until like April/May (or later) to start the alpha. I honestly believe that the 10.0 announcement can literally happen any day now.

Not against the idea of them announcing 10.0 right after or at least the next week to the world first of the Jailer. Not like it'll take THAT long, even if he wasn't tested pre-live. Like, somewhere between 30-50 days.

Don't fall for the marketing ploy that Amazon's 3-year-old korean diablo clone is a "big game" and I still don't see how that relates to an "announcement for a game that will come out between 8-14 months from now"
