Tbh, i believe this is legit leak simply because there is no obligatory supplementary info, that features the expac content.
Its just simple high quality logo with no elaboration, and this is why i believe it could have accidentally slipped out of some dev's discord or communication app.

Yeah, I think so too. It simply fits on multiple levels, and like you said, it's not some hyper detailed leak, it's just a simple logo that's incredibly well done. Looking at other logo fakes makes you realize just how well done that logo really is.

I'll just say that Blizzard not making a dragon class based off of characters like Alexstraza, Chromie, Wrathion, and Kalecgos would be one of the biggest missed opportunities ever. People would go crazy over a class like that.

This. I mean there has been a fabricated written leak for Empire of Dragons some days ago, but it came weeks after the logo - that’s what screams FAN MADE. The logo itself is still totally valid.

No. It was only the logo. The written leak came just one or two days ago.

But what is that second picture? It doesn't look like anything close to what we've seen in Shadowlands. It looks pretty distinctly like a Void Invasion of Azeroth to me. Could just be the part of Bastion that has been invaded by the Void, though. But that being said, considering how much has been revealed about the Void / Light cosmic war, and with Elune being revealed, it would be amiss to ignore all the potential plot setup.

But what is that second picture? It doesn't look like anything close to what we've seen in Shadowlands. It looks pretty distinctly like a Void Invasion of Azeroth to me. Could just be the part of Bastion that has been invaded by the Void, though. But that being said, considering how much has been revealed about the Void / Light cosmic war, and with Elune being revealed, it would be amiss to ignore all the potential plot setup.

The second image is fake iirc, added together with another fake leak at the time, the first one is from a promotional email leak. Also the Bolvar cinematic leak was also another authentic one.

Just take a closer look at the letter T in warcraft. Or at the top globe-y thing not being nicely round. Some side adornments are just copy pasted naaru parts. Im also pretty sure someone explained it in detail with pictures and red circles a long while ago.

The Empire of Dragons logo doesn't have a good source but iirc i don't think the SL logo did either, it was just posted here I think. I'm no expert on Expansion logos but I do remember people saying the SL one was obviously fake so I guess it's either way at this point lol.

Nothing on that logo is copy pasted, its clearly drawn.

When we pointed out the Naaru details on the border, it was in context of the expansion title not matching the logo theme.
Like taking the wod logo and replacing the title with 'Secrets of the Faerie Kingdom', EoD clashes in the same way.

I wouldn't be so sure to assume small details are "obvious" tells of being fake. If someone taking the time to make a fake this gold can fail on basic stuff then why not Blizzard?

Also we should acknowledge that there is a chance that the EoD logo is an early version of the official one. I remember BFA having a rougher looking logo than the final one that was more computer-generated.

Yeah, I don't get the hate the EoD logo gets. I have yet to see a fake logo that comes close to matching it.

My main gripes with the Empire of Dragons logo (aside from it being kind of ugly, but the Shadowlands one isn't much better) are:

- The missmatch of themes: Blizzard is usually a lot clearer with their products. They have to sell this expansion to people who have never heard of WoW. Mixing darkness (Void), sci-fi (Naaru) and a classic fantasy trope (Dragons) doesn't seem like a good marketing decision.

- The name: What is the Empire of Dragons. People are talking about Wrathion gathering an army, or a hidden group of Void Dragons. Neither of those things are an empire. If there was such thing as an Empire of Dragons, we would have heard of it from Alexstrasza, Ysera or Kalecgos, no? And if whatever society of dragons is in the expansion isn't quite an empire, they probably wouldn't call it that, and it definitely wouldn't be the name of the expansion.

So either the logo is fake, or both the theme and story of the expansion are a stretch from the get go. Admitedly, Warlords of Draenor was quite the stretch, but at least it had a consistent theme.

Because it doesn't matter at all. It's a logo. Most logos don't communicate much to outsiders anyway. Nobody can tell all that stuff from a logo, it just needs to look high quality and pretty. And the EoD logo does exactly that.

What where the Mists of Pandaria? The Warlords of Draenor? What's the Wrath of the Lich King? All these names made little sense before their announcement, but we're very clear after the reveal.
