They won't wait for the announcement til LFR is completely open...people will know in advance what happens through the campaign. The longest I can see them waiting is til the last chapter of the campaign.
I'm just going based of the info that they probably originally planned to announce it during Blizzconline which was supposed to take place in this timeframe, and with the next patch being so close what from it it makes sense to wait to release before the expansion, which are:
1. Raid finale cinematic
2. Final chapter opening
3. Race for world first ends (not to clash their announcement with the event)
I don't see a world where they would benefit from LFR waiting IF an announcement was supposed to be in this timeframe originally, just wait for the story and community events to finish.

Speculation -
If 10.0 doesn’t have a graphically updated Kalimdor and eastern kingdoms with player housing in main zones it’s gonna be a FLOP

I see what your saying but I’m just saying that cata and wod had players leaving in much higher numbers than the prior expansions and the devs themselves recognised the issues with bfa and Sl
I personally loved wods raids and bfas zones but that doesn’t mist over the lack of content and the misguided/disliked systems.

How would you know? They never gave us numbers on that. We only got total active subscriptions, not how many new subscriptions were created and old ones expired.
The drop in WoD was also immediately preceeded by a massive spike in subs. It only dropped back to normal levels and then continued to slowly shrink at roughly the same rate as before the spike.
Neither of these are valid indicators for the correlations you claim.
That's definitely true and for 2023 they are pretty set on high financial results due to the next WoW expansion and WotLK Classic. It's basically their big $$$ year.
