Yeah, when you put it that way, it still has its issues and is perhaps worse. The worst was how much the guys behind him fizzled so hard. I get why it was better for the longevity of the story, but having the Void Lords be the "fo realz" threat and the Old Gods be not just killable but their sentient assboils definitely took a lot of wind out of their mystique and made the chapters we dealt with them kinda weaker in retrospect.
Either way, I feel WoW is at its best when their characters have colorful personalities. There's a way to do every archetype under the sun and have it work in its own way. Unpopular opinion, but I felt Arthas was kinda done a disservice with the Doctor Claw voice when he originally had brilliant moments like awkwardly thinking the Nerubians were calling him traitor king, having an actual weird friendship with Kel'Thuzad, and borderline leaning on the fourth wall before the last TFT mission by talking about "ending the game."
