You shouldn't expect much from this trainwreck of a company, anyway. Let's hope 10.0 is good but I wouldn't hope too hard, you'll just be let down. If it's good at least it's a pleasant surprise, that way.
For me, this doesn't matter much anyway since I have Elden Ring and Total War: Warhammer 3 to keep me plenty busy until then.
True. I definitely expect us to return to Azeroth first before departing for wherever we're going next.

Thank you for sharing.
I'm sure we're all looking forward to more posts from you on a WoW fan forum, about WoW, about how much you dislike WoW over and over again.

Damn later than even I thought, but still mid April. Keep being clockwork, Blizz.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
Uuuuugh that's so long. But at least we won't feel played around with having no date.
It says "worlds" but it also says "in Azeroth" so I think we're still looking at that and no cosmic panic. Also still a damn Emerald Dragon likely pre-order.
Cool stuff. I'll keep that date in mind.

Alright so perhaps the Zovaal defeat will feel a bit like the Archimonde defeat/Gul'dan banishment after all, with this month and a half-ish wait after the cinematic again.
For some reason, a whole lot of us were thinking they were saving Gul'dan for later, when in hindsight it was so bloody obvious that a blown-out Legion expack was next.
Khadgar's lines "Gul'dan and the Devils that command him are not so easily banished." etc. I know I was just in denial that a Burning Legion expack was so soon.
Legion's initial H/A conflicts sooort of set up some of BfA but the Sargeras Sword moment was definitely an unforseen (before silithus datamining) turn of events that set up BfA with Azerite. Not as predictable as WoD->Legion in hindsight even.
BfA's obvious hints at Death-themed content wasn't delivered during the final raid, but all throughout the questing content in Bwonsamdi, the Drust, and Sylvanas.
What shall we say, is the most "obvious from hindsight" story progression from the hints Shadowlands is providing under this context?
DRAGONMIRE BINGO2024 - 11.0 - The 10th Expansion - The 20th Anniversary of World of WarcraftFor Azeroth!
And here we go, 43 days of waiting ... the announcement is a tad too early now
Light is evil mkay?
That's the thread they've built up since Legion, but most of us overlook it because it's more cosmic bullshit when they said they wnted something more grounded. So with how the Jailer fight is ending, all eyes are on the cinematic and the world soul now.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
As usual. We knew the announcement of the announcement would at least be two weeks ahead. Five weeks ahead gives even more time.
And the reveal is close to PAX. Maybe they attend and have an alpha or deep dive panels or whatever. It lines up nicely. An announcement so short after 9.2 never made sense.
