Jailer defeat cinematic drops though. And I'm confident plenty of people are going to tailor leaks to what's shown in that cinematic no matter how small it may seem.
Nobody wants to leak today that the Jailer wakens the World Soul and then we find out tomorrow he doesn't after all.
FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)
Does it matter? This was already proven fake. It's also not 'Cross factions', it says 'United faction' which is not a term being used at all in WoW, not even by Blizzard.
Therewillbedragon's rumor is quite different if you compare it to the other 'Cross Faction leaks' we've had. Most either use a different name, or state that it works broadly through any/all types of gameplay. Few to none have ever been specific enough to say it works through the Dungeon Finder.
So you're dismissing it because it says United Factions instead of Cross Faction when it means the same thing? Meanwhile, you believe a leak that said we're not getting cross faction play until the next expansion?
Also, the Awakenings leak probably got WotLK classic's release date correct, and if we look at what's happening as Shadowlands wraps up, something massive is going to happen, so a "New Azeroth" is certainly possible. In addition, Blizzard has been looking into redoing the profession systems. A hiring call recently went out for designers who want to work on updating WoW's profession system. So a reforged profession system is also likely next expansion.
The point is, saying that a leak is viable because it got a little tidbit correct is ridiculous.
I'm dismissing it because it got more wrong than it got right. We know it's fake.
I'm honestly not sure why you're still talking about it. If you thought it was compelling back then, then sure you have to the right to believe things that are too good to be true are more compelling than another that has some of its information confirmed. Good for you dude.
That's the difference though.
I didn't say most appealing rumor, I said most compelling rumor. And the compelling one is the one that gets information right and could likely be true. It's not the most appealing rumor, that would be Tinkers of Tinkeria, where Azeroth is actually a transforming Mech like Unicron and everyone will have their own Space ship to fight the evil, space-faring undead Decrepticons.
We defeat Zovaal, and its revealed the mark of Nzoth made us think we were the good guys.
So a leak that says we're getting cross faction in 9.2 is less compelling than a leak that says we're getting cross factions in 10.0?
A leak that says that WotLK is coming in fall 2022 is less compelling than a leak that says that Hunters and Warlocks are getting a tank spec?
A leak that says that Azeroth is going to be fundamentally changed is less compelling than a leak that says we're going to the Draogn Isles?
C'mon dude.

I hate to break it to you, but the name Awakenings was long ago debunked. It seems improbable that a name that was previously floated around so much would ever be used. However, they did get 9.2's name close (not entirely correct). It does seem very likely the creator was rather sharp and definitely perspicacious, but I doubt he actually was legitimate.

Admittedly, though, you are correct there. I still want to believe in Airships and Mechanics. However, I simply doubt it is true.
