What are the chances of getting 9.2.5 PTR this week?

Not sure but definitely before the 10.0 announcement. I could be wrong but I'm sure every single time @Marlamin detects it on the vendor thingy it goes up within 1-3 weeks, I don't think they ever waited longer than that, unless I'm mistaken.

There have been occurrences when it's been a month or so as well I think.

And it was updated on the 2nd I believe? That would be about 7 weeks to the 10.0 announcement. I think it'll be dropped on the PTR this month with mostly small and non-story related things, the only big feature would be cross faction grouping, but they said it wouldn't be addressed in the lore (though I'm guessing they will eventually).

Thank god he got banned again. I wouldn't mind if mechanics would be added as a new class but Teriz jihad on everything that's not his favorite sure makes it hard to like

Beautiful. Just to put the final nail in the dragon coffin, all the stuff I posted was fake as well. Was gonna just do the one and done post, but got real lucky with the xfaction announcement so I figured I had to keep it going and made the stupid ms paint map, expecting that it would be laughed out of the thread. I made everything purposely boring to make it sound more realistic.

I hope 10.0 blows all our pants off and makes everyone's leaks look bad.

FWIW, the Hearthstone team came out yesterday and apologized as they are postponing their expansion announcement from today until Thursday.

Could mean they're postponing everything until the RTWF is over, so as to not distract from the race. Could also mean they're announcing 9.2.5 tonight and don't want Hearthstone to distract from that.

Can't imagine it has to do with the RTWF, that's not likely going to be resolved by Thursday. I also don't imagine that it's a 9.2.5 announcement (though that seems imminent anyhow) as the teams are working on separate (though related) games. Instead, I imagine they probably need more time for prepping their presentation for the next expansion rather than anything else. Perhaps they didn't like the way some slides looked or they are pre-recording & need more time to edit.

It's seriously annoying, Yet it astounds me the arguments he uses against other class concepts can be used against his precious Tinker concept with pure ease.

At this point I really hope the next expansion doesn't contain Tinkers as I seriously hate the thought of them at this point Thanks to Teriz.

I had the same conversation.. the problem is.. tinkers are not the only option. He strongly though it was the one which was missing from the roster. That is obviously bull as other archtypes have as much or more lore to them in general. Look at dark rangers or shadow hunters. These had more exposure then tinkers ever had.

Because of Teriz, people hate the class before they even played it. So yea hes fanboyism has backfired and more and more people hate it now. So ye good job on him I guess. Using the word Tinker is almost instant infraction, so that says a lot.

Funny how he wants dragons now and not just dragonsworn, no he wants to be a full on dragon. Its weird..

I'm not downplaying anything. I'm merely pointing out that Necromancer and Dark Ranger concepts are already dispersed within the current class lineup. It isn't my fault that some folks are emotionally attached to a MMO class concept.

Your opinion on those other archtypes is all dandy, but it doesnt say anything to these classes being an option in the future. Dark rangers and shadow hunter have as much chance as Tinker. Fun fact: dark ranger ot shadow hunter wouldnt even use hunter abillities. Just fyi that keep bringing up they are hunters is as strong as demon hunters is just a rogue and warlock. The argument against classes these days are just not very strong.. no offence, but we keep seeing the same stufd altho we have seen classes pop up who had lots of arguments against them. Monk and demon hunter for example. Monk should be below tinkers according to your logic.

That being said, you shouldnt push this in every one faces. You clearly saw the withdraw of your fanatical approach and it isnt working. People hate the idea now.. and dragonborn/sworn or w/e you want to call them is next if you dont be carefull.

Unless I missed something the derivative, or archetype, of Dark Ranger is Hunter. Dark Ranger being a personality, or multiple archetypes.

Edit: AND necromancer. I was almost certain they’d announce it after seeing a necro totem with new visuals in BFA.

If you purely look at what is there and could this be a class. Keep sylvanas fight and Hots in mind then the anwser is yes.

I agree that the RTWF probably isn't a factor here, since it might drag on. But to assume they need more time to prep is ludicrous imo. This stuff is prepared well in advance, and they've had several years to perfect their HS formula. The way 9.2.5 could impact HS, despite being different games, is because a lot of the audience overlaps.

Imagine if they put out a nice HS announcement video, and people on Twitter started buzzing about that. Then all of a sudden a blog post and PTR about 9.2.5 goes up, showcasing the damage done to Azeroth by the Jailer, possibly a bunch of cool new transmogs and character enhancements, and most of all cross-faction play. HS would lose some of its hype in that scenario. By splitting them up, they get two days of hype.

In my experience, that stuff is not prepped nearly as far in advance as you might think, it's real easy for those deadlines to slip by when you don't have a trade show like Blizzcon forcing your hand. Plus, you have to remember how much they have to put together for presentations at this point. Website updates, with potentially a full mini-site to advertise. Advertisements to go up on web ads once announced. Slides & a script to present the material. Likely a video with one or more devs giving insight mixed in with gameplay footage, which also is going to require extensive editing & polish. Pre-order material which is almost certainly going to include bonus cards and/or heroes to have in-game. Potential server updates if you are going to have those pre-order items in immediately.

While we may not see all of those items, we'll certainly see most of them. If even one of those departments is stuck in the process of getting sign off on their materials from management, that itself would delay it. Plus Blizz overall as a company has had a lot of turnover in the last couple of years, so even if they had the formula perfected at one point that doesn't mean it's still perfected. The WoW team had their content cadence perfected in Legion, then lost it as soon as BfA came out.

As for 9.2.5 taking buzz away from Hearthstone, that will happen whatever order they come out in. If 9.2.5 is announced today & Hearthstone is announced Thursday, Hearthstone's may well be overshadowed by 9.2.5 anyhow, meaning the new HS expansion won't even have it's own time in the spotlight.

15 posts just saying "You're wrong because I don't like it" is spam. And I would know, I got banned last week for questioning the sincerity of a "Are Jaina & Arthas still in love" thread. We all needed a break from him arguing one april fools joke is powerful foreshadowing but another april fools joke could never happen.

I appreciate contributing to the "2000 pages before the expansion announcement" cause but we are way ahead on that front.
