It's not like we have a history of the Green Dragonflight being enslaved by N'Zoth's minions, aka the Emerald Nightmare (literally, even their Aspect ended up being enslaved by N'Zoth's servant Xavius)...

    https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Nightmare_dragonflight

You can't even argue "but then they wouldn't have green eyes!", because:

In World of Warcraft, several other members of the green dragonflight were depicted as corrupted by the Nightmare, but kept their original shape. This includes the Nightmare Whelps, the drakes Dreamscythe, Hazzas, Morphaz and Weaver, the dragon Eranikus, and the Scalebane, Suppressor, Wanderer and Wyrmkin dragonspawn.

It is pretty funny to see all this Dreadlord talk when the Universe is being consumed and all that also the whole Pattern and how we need to zoom out further these days and we just have no lore or canon to deal with the new zoomed out cosmological picture.

A recommendation from me is to look at every whisper all over again from Cataclysm to Shadowlands, as well as the flavor text items in the Sepulcher. If you're brave try to see if it connects to the Codex. Again, at the end of the day I think things have moved out of our current fundamental understanding of the Warcraft Universe and since the next expansion probably will not reveal more of the cosmological map outside of the Pattern.

Well, I mean it seems pretty pointless to speculate on cosmology and the plans of Dreadlords after Zovaal's inactivation.

Obviously, I do find this hilarious with the context of what just transpired and how we require info on the "Outside of the Pattern" map. Events within the Pattern don't matter much anymore as it is likely to be devoured unless we stop the Devourer. The scope of giving a fuck about events within the Forces have basically gotten extremely limited due to the nature of the bigger bad that is coming.

I agree that the counter to that is that events that transpire within the Forces even in the event of the Adventurers fighting the Devouring force are relevant. But, I'm also just trying to figure out what exactly would matter after this new storyline and why it wouldn't involve some form of reset point rather than a continuation. Obviously, it could continue but I digress.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

That would be rather horrendous, frankly. I think we've still got plenty of interesting plotlines to focus on, as opposed to riding the wave up the hierarchy.

I really hope you're right, my head hurts from the new "outside of pattern" scope. Thankfully, Danuser has yet to confirm if the Storylines about Fate/Determinism in the universe are real or not which does at least make it less of a splitting headache to follow. But, even then I can't wrap my head around what they are doing with even Greater Progenitors and or the all-consuming nonsense.

Fundamentally I don't like this direction. I would gladly prefer if the whispers were actually relevant to the Void rather than having it seemingly attached to an even bigger cosmic storyline that again ends with the whispers being transferred over to something even bigger after it.

So what is she jealous of? That people keep forgetting her flight is the life flight and giving that title to her sister's flight?
(not dismissing your envy interpretation, I'm dismissing Varodoc's claim it has anything to do with a green dragon)
It would be amazing because it would set up red queen vs white queen

I highly doubt that will happen—we're already focusing on other powers and there's a suggestion the next expansion will take place on Azeroth. It is very unlikely that the imminent plot will focus on this new higher villain. I'm fairly certain, as Super Dickmann put forward a while back, that this may simply be a zooming-out to reapply some mystery after hyperfocusing on and demystifying every other prospect. I also don't think they'll retcon the meanings of things that are easily-applicable to things introduced in this exact expansion.

I doubt they'll go from the Dreadlord plot, which they're leaving very open, to go gawk at some big new thing they made up on the spot with no foreshadowing.

I really think you're reading too deep into this. Blizzard is not going to subtly try to build their plot around a vague motif, but I suppose some profundity is being investigated—nevertheless, though, I would be a little suspect of making assumptions based on theories you concocted earlier. I highly doubt we're going to see this all be a big Alice in Wonderland allusion.

    - Want to infiltrate Light and Void, the top-tier of the cosmic powers.

    - Decide to kill & replace two randos on a planet and vaguely toss them in the direction of their respective cosmic powers.

    - Profit?

Well, you're a poopy head (JK). :P Seriously though, Tauren should get a special An'she themed class skin. If Night Elves get paladins, they should get an Elune themed class skin. I think classes should be given some form of customization depending on their race.

Do try to be less cranky, though. At least Teriz can discuss things without being overtly and unnecessarily passive aggressive.

I don't get why people get so upset about others discussing Old God whispers. Like, could they mean nothing? Sure. But what's the harm is discussing it? It's about as much weight as other hints, like the Steelscale whatever dragon mount.

To avoid the internet-litigiousness of some, let's just say it is the level of certainty and smugness that accompanies them.

I get where you're coming from but I would argue that it's no different than discussion of a certain mechanically inclined class.

    That's infuriating, too!

Like, all of these topics are perfectly fine in isolation. It's the amount of time and energy they've commanded because of fanaticism.

They're the whispers of a mad god: They're not going to adhere to specific semantics or semiotics, let alone the Titans'. This isn't pokemon.

Same goes for a statement like this. Poetic speech rarely follows logic.

It's 5 weeks away. And we've all gone mad from lack of content. We might hit page 2500 before then.

When do you all think we'll see the 9.2.5 PTR? I'm hoping this month, but I have a feeling it won't be on PTR until early April.

I'm guessing we are likely to see it within the next two weeks, provided it doesn't have a story campaign to lead us into 10.0. If it does not, it makes sense to get it out to the PTR & get some extra excitement leading into 10.0. That being said, if there is 10.0 story stuff or any sort of spoiler, they may opt to hold it until the expansion announcement date & release it on that day.

Really hoping 9.2.5 brings some great casual mechanisms into play and gets people excited about coming back to prepare for 10.0. A reason that isn't directly tied to 9.2 and its content, or preferably the Shadowlands at all.

    Hmm, maybe we'll overshoot it.
