At the end of the day, I'm just like all of you: Curious about what is coming next for World of Warcraft's 9th expansion!
I just really love Azeroth and want to know where our adventures in Azeroth will go next!

Never mind lore. Aren't Blood Elves about a third of Horde characters? Unless factions are dissolving completely, faction changing that many players during prepatch would break so many guilds and leave the accounts of people not currently playing in a state of complete fuck.
How willing are people to invest in a game where you're supposed to work together with a team of players over a long period of time but the developer can pick you up and plop you on the other faction overnight. Blizzard server swapping players for technical or whatever other reasons would have the same effect.
I apologize, what I meant is that at least pre WoD, zones tended to at least have multiple threats. Uldum for example had Tolvir, Schnottz, and titan tech and Bandits.
Twilight Highlands had the Hammer, Dragons, Dragonmaw Orcs and Wildhammer Dwarves. Etc. The Drustvar example was poor. It makes sense in that the Drust is the only threat.
I think that's more confirmation bias than an actual change. Zones do still have multiple threats, some bigger, some smaller. Uldum was an extreme case with two divergent main storylines. But the story structure in Shadowlands also naturally lends itself to focussing on one main threat for each zone, so that is hardly unexpected. They still had secondary issues or storylines.
I really hope the 10.0 cinematic is the best one yet. I’ve honestly really enjoyed every cinematic for each new expansion but the last few have been dynamite.
I hope it's not Dragon Isles. Too obvious. Looking at the lore, before shadowlands. We fought N'Zoth, but you know who was not killed there? Azshara. And I like her. She is the perfect villian. She is the perfect person to have taken over Azeroth while we were gone. She lied in the 8.3 bossfight where she claimed she was gonna backstab N'zoth all along. Cuz that's what she does, lie.
We come back to Azeroth and the Naga has completely taken over. Azshara is the perfect villian and this expansion is all about her being a sassy villian.
Note how Hearthstone often predicts WoW's future. Their latest expansion is NAGA THEMED.
We also get Naga race for Alliance.

How would people feel about gear vendors making a return? What if the valor gear upgrade vendor was/is a sign to come? I would love a valor/justice-like vendor to purchase gear again.
