I was only asking a question! I don’t work for Blizzard! However, take a moment to reflect on Classic WoW’s effect on Shadowlands. Level and stat squish, “lessons learned” for bringing back core class abilities/utility, etc. Maybe Blizzard will follow a similar trend for 10.0, looking at BoJ vendors in TBCC as a positive method for additional/supplemental gearing. Furthermore, Wrath Classic is very likely coming this Fall. What did Wrath have? JP/VP vendors. Pure bliss!
we are slowly progression to one faction with so few players, they can't rly do a rd faction unless is pure flavour-wise., and this they kinda already did with covenants and class halls.
Personally, i wished they did class halls system again, but focusing on races instead, some class halls campaigns/artifacts were lackluster but the idea was great. This would great improve wow worldbuilding.
I don't think it's time travel though, my interpretation of that post is that it's just a piece of Azeroth that survived the sundering and is frozen in time, rather than places we've been to before in Azeroth but in a different time period.
Though I still think the leak itself is fake, I don't expect anything before mid April.
Admittedly, the question is if this will last. IIRC, and I may be wrong here, Microsoft made it a very explicit part of the plan to try to increase player population, which I figure they may have the expertise to do. Keep in mind Microsoft has always been, for all its faults, a very effective and competent company.
yeah yeah, i was more talking like in the sense of having proper quests and weapons/armors around your race, it helps you do the worldbuilding and the players will be engaged because is something personal.
they can finally deliver the rest of the heritage armor, make heritage weapons and mounts, everythign while building up new characters and shaping the places the races live and where they act. Like, Orgrimmar is the "class hall of orcs", Guilenas will be the "class hall" of worgens, you can have quests all over durotan and guilenas to shape the place.
its a minefield
I think the expansion will be set in Elunaria. It has everything, titan stuff, life stuff, Elune stuff, dragon stuff, and cosmic stuff. Seems like a logical next destination based on the story up to now too.
This does offer up the question of how Allied Races will work, but I suppose it's not difficult to resolve at all. It would be a vastly significant amount of work added on to the fairly manageable workload of the main races to add cities and questlines for them. I could see them sharing questlines and hubs with the main races—Lightforged and normal Draenei, Mag'Har and Orcs etc. would all work and I could see plenty of ways to emphasize the kinship between the base races and their Allied counterparts. The Nightborne and Blood Elves could have interesting quests to explore whatever they're up to with their arcs mostly-resolved and open up new plotlines from the otherwise-resolved races, and the Vulpera could just share with the Zandalari. The only sore thumb I can see is the Void Elves, who I don't think anybody cares about enough lorewise to warrant a new zone and questline, plus it would feel like cheating out other Allied Races in favor of a fairly banal one.
what happened to that huge new tavern with hearthstone tables? Got me hyped for a world revamp 3 years ago, it looked soooo good.
