They keep trying to hint that things are changing, I don't buy it at all. Weird to not see a statement or anything. I guess, it is just to get another free win.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

As much as this is a clear improvement in terms of accessibility, I cannot help but feel this is just evidence Blizzard doesnt want to make Timewalking better.
The Mage Tower being updated for Legion Timewalking is probably the best single thing added to Timewalking beyond extra themed mounts, and detaching it from the actual Legion Timewalking just makes me think Blizzard is going to keep neglecting Timewalking.

I just read the "Primus is the Jailer" theory and something kind of made me think. When speaking of Allied races of the Shadowlands races, most people can picture the Fauns, Kyrians, and Venthyr becoming playable, but there's difficulty in think of a possibility of Maldraxxus' denizens being playable. What if there's a reason for that? What if this theory is true and down the road we get an Allied Race quest where we recruit those three races after finding out the Primus is not who he said he was? It would certainly play out a lot like the Mag'Har questline where we realize we left things to go sideways and then promptly drop the thread while we go fight...I dunno, void kobolds or something?
Just something I thought about after realizing that the possibility of a Maldraxxus playable race would either be skeleton undead or rotting Kul Tiran.

I'm going to take the opposite stance. I think this shows that they're willing to extend timewalking beyond the pseudo-monthly voyage to older content dungeons. Having reasons to go back to those zones would be awesome, and they could even breathe life back into them with events like this. Evergreen content across WoW has been much desired by many for some time, particularly those of us who enjoy solo content as well as group/mmo content.
I disagree. I think it only felt incompatible because there was nothing comparable in the other timewalking events that could really compare to the Mage Tower and M+.
Had each Timewalking event had its own unique identity and challenge that required knowledge of the expansion, then I think the Mage Tower being time-limited wouldnt have been as much a problem. The event being limited to one week might have been though, so Timewalking should have worked on a separate rotation to the rest of the events running concurrently after each other.

The reason I think this is a bit of a crippling blow to Timewalking events is that by removing this unique aspect to Legion Timewalking they are tacitly stating that having unique events at all is problematic.
They would have to either reverse this decision in the future (always a popular move), or add something else to the Legion timewalking rotation to compensate for what it "lost" with Mage Tower being decoupled from it.

Chapter 7 tomorrow. Hopefully, Chapter 8 with the Sylvanas novel the following week. 4 weeks until the announcement! Echo and Liquid BOTH on Jailer Mythic. Let's go!!!! HYPE train!
Since it's a speculation thread, I thought I'd share this since I hadn't seen it mentioned. Apologies if it was mentioned.
Could be a commentary by itself on how poor the story line has been - where there's room for this level of exposition due to the gaps in the story as it stands. I don't know that I have this level of faith in the story architecture that we've seen to produce what's in the link....but I wouldn't be mad at all if this came to pass.

The TLDR is speculative of the Primus being the so called architect of all of the things that have happened from WCIII and beyond, using domination magic - with it's flaws - dread lords, and so on to gain access to Zereth Mortis, and now using us to figure out how to exploit it to do ____.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
I remember people memeing that the Bastion leak saying it looked like Minas Tirith and people saying it had to be fake because they picked apart the logo saying it just looked like the Legion logo recolored.
But to be fair this wasn't that long after the "8.3 Stormwind raid and warfront" leak with the green ghost ships in SW harbor so they even picked apart the leaked image of Lich King Bolvar.

I don't get the impression he's suggesting or implying something particularly "big" with the April announcement, that will get reactions he's looking forward to seeing.
This reads to me as the generic "doing the honors" for the company and leaving on good terms with a positive message. Doing the gentlemenly (uh oh) exit.
