Since the moment him leaving became a sign Blizzard was bad. Same as all the other developers leaving. They are complicit in the terrible work enviroment and low quality of gameplay until the moment they announce their resignation, at that point they become the last of the old guard who were trying to keep Blizzard afloat.

So much this. I mean sooner or later people tend to leave or switch around in the same company, especially when dealing with software. Working 10 years in a single company and on one project (WoW) is a really long time tbh. I think people underestimate this and just group up each expansion as a separate project.

Some of the OGs are the reason for the problems in the game
because if we use your reasoning of "the old guys are leaving so the quality will be effected" and compare it to how many QoL changes and good changes have been made since the first guys have been kicked then wouldnt that mean they are holding the game back??
Devs leaving games is a fairly common occurrence, my understanding. Going somewhere else after being there for about a decade is not that crazy, but every time a dev leaves it's the end of the game, and it doesn't even matter the game. Bonus points when the doomsayer also makes it political.
