Devs leaving games is a fairly common occurrence, my understanding. Going somewhere else after being there for about a decade is not that crazy, but every time a dev leaves it's the end of the game, and it doesn't even matter the game. Bonus points when the doomsayer also makes it political.

Double bonus points if it is a CM and not a developer. Wonder who will be the new voice for Survival Guides now.

Why three they can just do one expansion with a light edition and a void edition and then a year later release a Lightvoid version that updates the quests and mixes up where mob packs occur but you still get to do the same starter intro

So the book comes out and the final chapter on the same day. I'm willing to bet there is going to be something leading us into the next expansion that happens. Well besides the fact that Zoval drilled into the planet and was sucking the life out of it.

Didn't we all say that would be the case with the Jailer cinematic? I hate to be a downer, but expect no more than additional cliffhangers and unanswered questions, all probably relating strictly to the Shadowlands and not the future.

The vocal majority expected a big reveal in the jailer cinematic while some tried to argue that no boss cinematic teased a cinematic or fundamentally changed the upcoming story. Yes it was a bad cinematic but not suprising we won't got anything out of it.
But i mean you're not wrong. Wows lore is jumping from one cliffhanger to the next so this chapter won't change that.

I personally think it mostly deals with sylvanas and tyrande (and hopefully with the nightelfs). A friend of mine suggested that judgement refers to the first ones appearing and judging their creation like in the eternals which would be funny.

So more bard lore in this already heavily music-themed patch. The synthesis mount called Serenade plays music when you mount up or /mountspecial and has little musical notes coming off the model. Maybe the new class will be a First Ones style tech-bard?

Everyone is entitled to think what they will. However, wouldn't it be awesome if just when everyone thinks that this week's 7th chapter is the end for 9.2, the following week released the "removed" 8th chapter titled "Epilogue"? Especially, coincidentally mind you, on the same day as the Sylvanas novel?!

Additionally, this would be a great way to set up 9.2.5 PTR AND the pending new expansion announcement on the 19th of April.

Just like how Emperor Shao shrouded Pandaria in Mists, I think it would be cool if the rationale behind both going to the Dragon Isles AND not being able to go there for some time (pun intended) is time related. Would be a great way to segway into the expansion, introduce the bronze dragon flight, and go from there.

How would people feel about gear vendors making a return? What if the valor gear upgrade vendor was/is a sign to come? I would love a valor/justice-like vendor to purchase gear again.

My honest guess is that it's one of the many assets they've made for the revamp they've been making in the background since about 2018. It's probably in the 10.0 internal builds.

There's just too much smoke for there to not be some kind of Revamp or expansion set in familiar Azeroth locales. It doesn't have to necessarily be a revamp, but it's for sure something more down to earth.

I don't know who started this rumor that it epilogue was moved to 9.2.5 PTR. Funny enough, people that I asked were pretty certain about it, yet no one gave me a source beside Danuser quote that they will hide it. But it simple didn't make any sense - releasing 9.2 story in March, then new expansion on April then last short SL chapter in ~June? No one will care about SL story at this point, we will all talk about 10.0.

9.2.5 will be just system patch, no point to continue SL story because no one cares, no point to start 10.0 story before pre-patch. I doubt they will wait for 'empty' week to start PTR, but if they will 5th April doesn't have anything (29th March epilogue, 12th April creation catalyst).

His arrogance on twitter wouldnt be mentioned if he did his job well. He sucked at it. Not gonna miss him at all (and wont probably notice his absence at all).

I would like to share my very own bit of head-canon. To be completely upfront and honest, these ideas are my own and created based on a few questions asked by the community.

What if:
1). Steve Danuser has said, many times, the words “wait and see.” When Blizzard announced the roadmap for the Warcraft universe, someone commented that they would like to be excited; however, they are worried because of how the Sepulcher (Shadowlands ending) concluded. His response was basically something along the lines of “Well, I say this because I can’t provide specificity without giving away potential spoilers. As for the ending of Shadowlands, it will have a conclusion (The Jailer cinematic was not it).”

Analysis:
1). Many think that the “Epilogue: Judgement” chapter of the 9.2 story has been omitted and put into a 9.2.5 patch. However, I don’t believe this. In an interview posted on Wowhead (I linked it yesterday), Danuser says that the chapter was purposely removed from the PTR not to spoil Sylvanas’ story and how the campaign ends in 9.2. He said that he was excited for players to see what happens. Now, the 7/8 chapter releases on LIVE next week, March 22, 2022. IF I am correct, the 8/8 chapter would release on March 29, 2022 (the following week since each week is a new chapter), to conclude the campaign and Sylvanas’ story. What else releases on March 29, 2022? The Sylvanas Book.

Yes, you may be asking “Well, if the 8/8 chapter releases on the 29th, why is it hidden from the achievements/campaign section of our quest journal?”

You would be correct; however, I think this is intentional to build HYPE/suspense for when it finally does go LIVE. Furthermore, depending on what is said in the Sylvanas book, there could be a connection with the 8/8 chapter.

To conclude my crazy head-canon, Danuser’s “wait and see” comments would make a lot more sense. Of course, I could be incredibly wrong; however, I strongly believe in my justification. Time will tell.

Danuser also confirmed Chapter 8 in 9.2 (which was taken down from PTR) titled Epilogue.

I’m just glad it is coming. Excited to see Chapter 7 and 8 since I stay away from story spoilers. Ready for novel next week, too!

I can only assume you haven't paid much attention over the years, because Ghostcrawler communicated constantly and got shit on 24/7 for it.
