You mean like how they learned their lesson with the disjointed zones in Cataclysm but then tripled down on the same concept and made it worst in Shadowlands?

Anyways, I fully expect the next expansion theme to be much more light-hearted after Shadowlands. Regardless of what the overarching theme is.

Many conflate surviving with thriving. And as we've been given no hard direct data on the health of the game (and can't agree on what "health" even means in this context), this isn't a discussion that ever goes anywhere in either direction.

Even without doing insane pepomath with r.io data / wlogs data / keystone.io data etc etc to estimate the number of player, which is roughly 1.2milion atm, that doesnt actually tells us the quality of a game even if WRATH had 12milion players.


We saw a shifting trending from WOD to SL of players quitting because convoluted and grindy systems repeating each expac, and how easily the dev team restored tier sets or swapping covenant or conduits energy after a huge sink of players the last Fall.


Also the fact that Classic got a way larger success than Shadowlands, for its super short lifespawn, for a game that had basically the "kill boss get loot rinse and repeat" system, something means and not "ehuehuhe PiNk TiNtEd GoOgLeS"

In my mind it's high improbable that after the disasters of BFA and SL (and the scandals) and all other clownery around Blizzard 10.0 will be just another filler, cookie-cutter xpac. I expect some groundbreaking changes and renovations which players will either fall in love with or utterly hate. It's a gamble situation, but either way I don't think it will just be some regurgitated systems ala Legion / BFA / SL. :

He's probably full of shit, but overall he has shilled 10.0 like 3 times that has been clipped on Twitch and claims it will be amazing. Keep in mind that Legion basically reinvigorated the game. He "MIGHT" know SOMETHING, even if vague, which he deems to be very good.

Toweliee is probably one of the few streamer that actually lives near Blizz HQ and hang out with them, so he is allowed to give some "bits" just to keep the hype.

Nope, not sure where you got that from but there's no more encrypted cinematics left currently in the files. There are a cutscene or two left though.

So that means for sure we won't have a cinematic for Sylvanas' Judgement? God I hope not... this deserves a proper cinematic.

Shadowlands zones were far from being its problems, and honestly I don't hear any real tangible complaints about them being 'disjointed' at all.

Thought it was interesting that Voraxxi said our cosmos is forfeit. Also who are the scryers? TBC faction?

/e there is an npc called automa scryer that is used to create the arbiter lol so nvm..

I believe this doesn't refer to the faction as it isn't capitalized, but some group that can scry

I don't really understand the disjointed zone complaint at all for SL. Two of the zones you just teleport to, and the others take 30 second flight paths. It's also an artistic choice, I think that is a benefit to the worldbuilding of this expansion.

In this expansion it makes sense and works, as those are basically pocket-realms of another dimension, but in general disjointed zones are meh. It removes some of the grandeur of the new continent imho.

Yeah, im personally guessing on an April 2023 release date now. I mean its gonna suck, but if it gives them the time they need for the expansion WoW needs and deserves what ever.

Yeah, guessing 2 6 month ish seasons. The earliest the expansion could release while having 2 seasons is December, but they would be short seasons and its 99% not December. Its gonna be Spring 2023. Honestly, I hope 10.0 is so good that they don't release 11.0 until Fall 2025. Give us 5 tiers, all amazing.

The Scryers are a faction but a scryer is simply one who scries, basically one who can tell the future using a crystal ball or similar device in fantasy and lore.
