Honestly, yeah. Stormwind looks worse with all of these little HD areas. It's so awkward.

I gave up on the idea of a world revamp a long time ago, but they could at least update the capital cities

Same. While I'm still thinking 11.0, it's hard for me to look at that new Green Hawkstrider alongside the Tirisfal Glades map & not think that there's absolutely something to that specific region being redone.

Might not be a full revamp, but it's looking more and more like that's the direction with the way this patch is going.

The dragon isles in the past have been portrayed as off the coast of Quel'thalas, with all this stuff in 9.2.5 and two recent store mounts being sun/fire/quel'thalas themed and store mounts in the past being next expansion mobs I like 100% believe its involved in the next expansion somehow.

Some buildings have been rebuilt (on live version EVERYTHING in the town is razed to ground) and the roads on the graveyard seem to be remade.

Ingame zone currently has very heavy fog that limits visibility so I can't get camera nearly as far away as the modelviewer shot, but this is similar angle to current Brill:
