It's actually sort of the beginning of a trend that reemerged with BfA and Shadowlands—decent story hooks being hijacked by the main characters. I do figure that we could've seen more decent plotlines in modern WoW, especially BfA if it weren't for their leading figures. In the same way that Thrall sort of ruined Cataclysm's whole plot when he went front-and-center, it could've been the case that Sylvanas' presence in BfA and Shadowlands was what brought them down. Anduin also had some elements of that, but I'd say he was slightly more tolerable right up until the moment the story became a vehicle for his circlejerk with Sadfang, even if he was still the golden boy as always.

No reason not to, honestly, since Forsaken were brought into undeath with various levels of decay; no reason they all need to be hunched, crooked-looking zombies. Besides, I'm always on the side of giving *more* customization options rather than fewer.

I also think there's precedent for non-hunter classes among undead elves; we do see some dark rangers walking around dual-wielding daggers and shortswords. This could be representative of rogue or warrior-esque fighting styles among them.
I would agree. Undead were the first race I played in WoW. Now I can't stomach them. Especially the males. The hunched, toad-like posture is miss from the fantasy most people want to achieve playing one. I am not a fan of Nathanos because he's not distinct enough but they do need a total revamp.

They should go back to their first iteration as inspiration.

Yes, you are. No one cares that we're likely to be disappointed. You seem to be failing to recognize that our self-delusion in regards to the coming expansion is purely based on a very conscious effort. We're completely aware that our hopes for a good expansion are more likely than not ill-fated. You seem to confuse hopium for ignorance.

If we're going about our lives and someone's pointing out that the universe will eventually undergo heat death or a big rip, we're not going to bother with joining in your outrage against the laws of nature. You'll just frustrate and irritate people about things they're already fully aware of.

    Jaina new guardian in 10.0?
Their interaction was kinda strange. First of all the "just friendship" part in response the the apology Jaina gives. As opposed to what? What does Jaina have to apologize for? Was there a secret interaction between them at the end of Legion we did miss?
Then Khadgar rummaging about death and responsibility... Sure, he did fail to close the Dark Portal for good a few times, but that can't really be it. What did he do in the meantine other than sitting on the roof of Karazhan and "watching the veil"?

Is it only my headcanon that Jaina and Khadgar had a disagreement about him joining the war (giving up Kirin Tor neutrality) and he regretting not doing so to prevent basically all of BfA?

The last time Jaina and Khadgar spoke, she was furiously against the Horde being allowed into Dalaran after the Broken Shore and resigned from the Council of Six after being outvoted on the matter, a vote put forth by Khadgar. Also, she said something about the Council not being able to see the Horde as a threat until entire cities are in flames, or something equally prophetic to that extent.

Probably not a coincidence that the music played during the Jaina Khadgar interaction is Eversong woods (at least according to Noone182's video. It doesn't seem to be edited by the content creator).

I dont really think that was prophetic or hinting for BfA. It was something completely in character for Jaina to say and how she reacted especially after Theramor, and MoP Dalaran

If Dadgar does bite the dust, I hope that it's the cap on a very long and fulfilling last adventure. Have him shine one last time before dying peacefully of old age. Something that most Warcraft characters never seem to get.

Even more Heritage Armor and Mounts for a race that already has it? https://www.wowhead.com/news/dark-ir...me-woof-326454

Seems a bit strange but I hope they finish up the remaining races and then bring the weapons and updated racial mount for all races.

Tbh that is one of my hopes that the next expansion would be Race based (since Legion when we had a class based expansion).

Death of Old Age would hit the players weird in WoW
Doesn't the power of the Guardian somehow extend their age? He already is younger than in TBC

Or he could sacrifice himself to save us/someone/a city etc. Hes only 50ish though. Unless the aging spell also affected his longevity and not just his appearance. But one of the recent WoW books said he looked younger, so idk. Maybe hes benjamin buttoning? Deaging, and when he reaches a baby he will die?

I don't think there was ever an official explanation about his appearance. I think he just... inexplicably looks 50 years younger after shaving the beard.

If I had to guess, his aging curse was the real deal, and he actually is an old man despite being around 50.

    Alternative: baby wizard ftw

He has Atiesh, but not the power of the Guardian, right? It's been a solid year or so since I've last played so I'm not entirely caught up.

So why is she the one apologizing? She was right all along. AND the Kirin Tor did nothing in BfA, not even sanctioning Horde members. It's not Khadgars turn to claim "I feel only friendship". He was in the wrong.

"He was reliving the battle in Karazhan, and experiencing again that horrible wrenching sensation as Medivh drew from him his magic and his youth. The magic had returned—indeed, in many ways it was far stronger now than before—but his youth was gone, torn from him long before its time. He was an old man now, at least in appearance. He still felt hale and hearty, and had as much endurance and strength and agility as ever, but his face was lined, his eyes deep-set, and his hair and fledgling beard a stark white. Though only nineteen, Khadgar knew he looked three times that and more."

He probably won't die of old age anytime soon if his functions are still that of the age he should be.

    Also, you are right.

Ah, so he just looks old but was still semi-physically and mentally young. I see.

Then I wonder why Khadgar is talking like his years are up. Maybe something he can't talk about ̶u̶n̶t̶i̶l̶ ̶A̶p̶r̶i̶l̶ because he doesn't want to take attention away from the current threats? Or maybe Blizzard forgot lmao

I'm getting the feeling that Khadgar will start roaming the SL for knowledge and find out that the true Jailer is still alive and that we've been tricked.
He'll go back to Jaina and tell her the news which leads into next expansion.
There is no other reason for Khadgar to be there otherwise and it makes sense to connect 8.2.5 to the pre-patch of 10.0

Nobody here was in the right or the wrong, and both were at the same time. Allowing both factions to unite in the city of the Kirin Tor is what allowed everyone to survive the Burning Legion which. And also there was nothing happening in Dalaran I believe which influenced the faction war. Did Sylvanas even step foot on Dalaran?

Also who do you think the Kirin Tor are to go slapping sanctions, and how would they (sanctions) even work on Azeroth between the Alliance and the Horde?

Or just that it was a loose end that was not tied between him and Jaina, and we haven't seen the old man in almost two full expansions. I don't think it will lead us into the new expansion theme. At most I believe he will find a way to uncorrupt/remove the sword or help Sargeras go back to his old titan self in a future side plot.
