Well, I'm also saying that because there are no lands between Kalimdor and the Malestrom, while there are three on the opposite side.

We used to make jokes about how "prolific" Deathwing was with the multiple "secret" clutches being discovered all over the place, transforming into multiple other dragonflights. I just find that funny now, since it seems that his loins weren't all that more bountiful than any other Aspect. There's so many "secret" populations and offshoots we've discovered.

Wait they had a plotline I thought they were just there to give the Withered something to fight.

So the only continent on this list is Kalimdor from thousands of years ago?

I'm not convinced that this is evidence for determining a setting.
I should of been more specific that I meant the leaks that listed Lordaeron as a new capital. I wasn't saying Lordaeron is the setting of the expansion. Personally I think that's too narrow of a theme.

Again, not saying any of them are true. But it does seem to give them an ounce of credibility in sea where we have no much to go on.

That's fair. For the record, I do think that the pre-patch stuff can certainly inform the setting of the expansion, but it's never been 1:1.

I don't know why people on the internet misuse "logic" so much. Show me the actual logical operation that you've used to reach this conclusion so I can determine if you're actually logical.

So we can expect the year of the snake to begin because of the new naga minions introduced.
Also its hearthstone. Its quite possible we get zovaals pleasure palace as expansion which is "heavily influenced by wow". you'll never know because as you said there is not a single expansion that is not heavily influenced by warcraft.
Yes, but the fact that they didn't just reveal the "yearly timeline map" with the Sunken city announcement, like they usually do, is what is conspicuous here. Yes, that little blurb isn't telling because it describes all Hearthstone content, but the fact that they said it, like expansion 2 is conspicuously more like WoW than usual, and that they said that's specifically the reason they didn't tease it with the Sunken city preview is conspicuous.

So for those reasons I think expansion 2 will probably be something like, new undead Lordaeron themed, Sylvanas in the maw theme, or something else that reveals a bit of 10.0 concept art.

Blizzard is always doing weird shit, and sometimes, its foreshadowing.

And I'd be down with that if it carried into WoW! It would fit with Blizzard's walkback in terms of destigmatizing certain cultural stereotypes or stock tropes but in a way that feels interesting rather than performative. And opens up more dynamics and races rather than ass pulling new ones.

Y'know, if they did it right.

    All speculation though obviously
This has been happening in a lot of fantasy media. DnD has also changed its stance on monstrous races in the last couple years, removing negative traits and not making them automatically evil for example.

Hasnt this kinda been Warcrafts MO since Warcraft 2? Where you learn that the evil and beastly Orcs from Warcraft were actually mostly peaceful shamanistic people before they were tricked into becoming pawns of the Legion?
The world revamp dream will never die!

Yeah, you're right. Warcraft is one of the bigger franchises that changed it so a lot of monstrous races weren't all chaotic evil. It looks like others are finally catching up and dropping that part with a lot of their more...anger-prone races. I could see WoW expanding on it if what others are speculating and show other races aren't civilizations of murder hobos. Not that we haven't already been seeing that on a smaller scale, like with Furbolgs.

Yeah. D& D's success has been more... pronounced than WoW's to say the least, even if WC3 did it early with for example the Orcs and Tauren.

    See the Exploring Kalimdor debacle.

I would be excited for the race in it, if it was real.

Given that the Titans are alive and well in canon and are just in a “break in case game needs saving” box.
The dragons can get repowered at any time by them.

Or there’d be some weird Titan/first ones tech hidden on the dragon isles that’ll repower them in case of emergency for some reason.

But we do know that the dragons (or at least the bronze dragons) would get repowered at some point because of the infinites.

This book should have come out before the expansion, not after it. People barely gave a shit about Sylvanas at the start of Shadowlands, but now everyone has a major case of Sylvanas fatigue.

Perhaps the key to finding the dragon isles and restoring the dragonflights rests with the Goblins in Undermine?

Which is why she's now out of the story... are we really still complaining about Sylvanas fatigue when this is the last week she'll be relevant maybe until WoW ends?

The fact that she got so much development here AND a book that adds more detail on her ending is even more pointing to her not coming back. Illidan has more of a chance.
