It really is a crying shame Worgens predated the BfA mindset of giving unique druids unique druid forms, isnt it?
A proper wolf themed Feral form. Maybe a variant of the Mage Tower bear form. A more harvest witch inspired caster form.
Would have been great. The variants we have now really seem like such a waste compared to Kul Tirans Wicker forms, or even just HM Tauren getting moose horns on their forms.

Back in ye olde day the druid forms were forced to be the classics because giving wacky forms wasn't even considered outside the travel forms, and was bound by the lore of the Worgen getting exact Nelf copies of Cenarion teachings (forget the lore for the Darkspear).

As SL customizations show, Blizz acknowledges that players don't really care about lore restrictions anymore. So we could get Dwarf and Belf druids and there wouldn't NEED to be lore for it, although they usually do at least a little (see the fuck all Prelate lore in Zandalar even though its the de facto special class for Zandalari, and the HUUUUUUGE amount of Kul Tiran shaman lore in Stormsong Valley)

Since Blizz is definitely going to keep adding druid forms like the new cheetah we just got, I hope they do the old races with unique forms, but question is, what will they be? That's a ton of speculation to be had just for that alone.

I also hope shamans will get plenty of variety for their spirit form, similar to what exists for soulshapes in Ardenweald.

Getting unique forms seems to be apart of the lore now, Kul Tiran and Zandalari druid forms are really specific and cool looking, I hope and pray for bearded dwarven animal forms.

Honestly at this point I'd be fine if they just rolled the Ardenweald soulshapes into the spirit wolf ability for shaman, maybe make them glyphs, with the spirit wolf effect, because that ability has been criminally under appreciated compared to druid forms.

A currently unused shield is more of a hint towards future content than anything, considering it is utterly pointless to exist otherwise.

I'd always be down for more druids and druid forms, I'd love to see old races get unique druid forms. The way they added druid stuff to the barber in SL has been amazing.

On MMOC there was a datamined string about Teldrassil in 9.2.5 that looked like this: I thought I was crazy but the general forums are backing this up.

They deserve at least as much love as Zandalari and KT druids got. I hope this gets revisited in the future, Zandalari and KT druid forms are fantastic and should serve as direction for all other races other than NE and Tauren.

Also I don't see how the Tuskarr model is any less playable than the Pandaren model.

I could see them revamping/merging some races eventually, right now the biggest issue is racials. If they ever addressed or changed racials I could see, for example, Lightforged being merged under the Draenei label. IIRC @Marlamin and some dataminers found evidence of changing the actual race tag on some races to show up as something else like High Elf for Void Elf for example. There are a lot of possibilities and ways to address this.

It was deleted, but likely because the initial set of diffs were working with broken database tables due to some structure changes.

It's not, and it would make a fantastic neutral race. Same goes for Furbolgs and Tortollans.

What's happening in Tirisfal? Why is Calia involved? There's a LOT of VO and things encrypted there.

Blizzard wants Calia to replace Sylvanas, possibly with Voss as her advisor. I'm not a fan because I don't want hand me down Alliance characters for Horde leaders, especially since they don't bother to develop Horde characters unless it's a meme or to kill them. On the plus side, Voss would be a key character in the event there's any major Scarlet Crusade plots so developing her is good, and in a distant improbable future where faction war is not a major part of WoW Undercity might make an interesting hub with a city of the living above ground and a city of the dead below.

Why is there another encrypted Anduin model?

Anduin is the new Sylvanas- he gets a new model every patch! But seriously, if they're moving the story forward in 9.2.5 they need a cleaned up, but also worse for the wear Anduin model/texture. Blizzard is not great and storytelling, but it would be really odd to immediately pop him back to fit as a fiddle immediately following being enslaved by the Jailer for a good chunk of the expansion.

What's the encrypted item set for?

Why are there still two encrypted achievements from 9.2? Are those for next reset's content?

Going to guess that with the expansion announcement in under a month the set could be collector's edition/digital deluxe swag, along with achievements related to them. Maybe I've missed it (I haven't been really paying attention, sorry), but is there an ahead of the curve mount?

I dunno, I don't really have anything insightful to add. People who are absolutely dead set on certain classes, races, and expansion themes tend to go kind of insane if they don't get what they want on announcement. Maybe some people might want to have a little moment of self reflection before the 19th so they don't get a forum vacation courtesy the mods and miss out on some of the post announcement hype training.

IDK the internal reason for no more soulshapes, but new additions are definitely happening if they added two for SL (SL focused creatures but still).

Also more travel forms that aren't racially-tied will probably be a new thing as well, as we see with the SL creature forms.

I just wish it was something as simple as ticking a case when created the character. Do you want to be referred to as 1. High Elf or 2. Void Elf., as 1. Dwarf 2. Wildhammer, etc. This could add further to the character customisation, and it's such a small thing to add (I think?).

I also hope they'll revamp the character screen background for some of the older races, and adjust it for the AR so we have something that is more fitted and well-centered for some races, with less light issues as well. It's details... but to me it's important!
