He was being set up as this Uber-Priest WAAAAAAAAYYYY back in Mists of Pandaria but then they just made him a pally anyways. He's way more interesting as a priest ruling Stormwind, someone who's not a warrior
Nathanos was not mentioned by name, but Sylvanas did mention she would be looking for her true love, forever if that is what it took.
Or I guess the person saying this could be someone else. Point is that once this was datamined pretty much everyone on this forum at least accepted that Sylvanas' fate would be saving souls in the Maw. The later datamining session that found her jumping animation just sealed the deal.

Was hoping for a build tonight. Last week it got pushed really early. I mean it's still not too late I guess.

That'd be literally the best (and only positive) thing to come out of Shadowlands

It's her sled, rosebud. Symbol of her lost innocence.

    Nathanos, who?

Didn't he specifically say he was remaining in Oribos? He wants to heal, not go back to shadow-hell to see all the suffering and torment of lost souls firsthand.

Luckily, it seems like he's just going to dick around in the Shadowlands, not strictly be adjacent to Sylvie.

Calling it now. We get anduin back in the future being master of Death (Domination), Light (Light) and Void (he can use shadow magic). And then later he collects the other 3 Infinity Forces.

Tho if he is taking a break in 10.0 then it might in fact be a Light themed expansion, either that one or 11.0.

Sooo... I was just thinking... if Turalyon became a villain, wouldn't the Ren'dorei be the only ones who can stop him and his Light friends? Since the Void is the most powerful weapon that can be used against the Light, its opposite, its ancient enemy, its counter, and the Ren'dorei are the first mortals in the history of the Cosmos to have mastered it.

If Turalyon becomes a villain, so to say, Alleria Windrunner and the Ren'dorei might very well be the best and final hope of the Alliance and Azeroth against the forces of the Light.

In the past, I have been very vocal about the "Golden One" whisper referring to Pelagos, and not Turalyon, also based on Ion's words from an interview.

But now I am no longer certain. Now I can also consider the possibility of Turalyon's "crown" being the one to "Bring darkness". And darkness can be fought only with other darkness.

I mean I'm sure there would be an interesting dynamic given the two are married, but no I don't think they'd be the only ones capable of spanking Goldust.

Oh, they wouldn't be the only ones?

But who else in the Alliance has mastered the Void, which is the natural opposite and counter of the Light? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The alliance isn't the only superpower in azeroth. And even then you don't have to be a void being to will Smith turalyon.

    Also quick update you guys.

The mechspiders mounts from mechagon have a new flying animation!!!!

Mark another small yet important piece of proof for tinker madness soon.

I mean a timeskip isn't needed when the zones are ten years old. A timeskip allows for greater changes without having to explain a lot, but lorewise they shouldn't look the way they are right now.
Also doesn't time move slower in the shadowlands not faster?

If Anduin stays in the Shadowlands, he will help Sylvanas find Nathanos and, while looking for him, have a chat with Sylv about all that happened. This would take place during the whole 10.0 expansion. Anduin will then come back to Azeroth in 11.0, after Turalyon has gone wild with the Alliance and has become even more of a Light fanatic. 11.0 will be the Light VS Void expansion foreshadowed in Velen's recently-updated description on the official WoW website. Yep. Let's go.

This doesnt mean anything, most high end mounts/dropped mounts can fly, it's probably something that was long overdue, so don;t go counting your buttons just yet.

So wait, did they actually forget nathanos?

There Zerethsteed mount from AotC uses the same skeleton so they gave it a flying animation and also decided they may as well update the mechaspiders

This animation is pretty smooth for a mere byproduct of another flying capable mount that shares the skeleton. All those maw horses obviously share the skeleton of other flying horses, and yet they can't fly.

He was mentioned in 9.1, and as I said before, there was a datamined voiceline seemingly from Sylvanas confirming that she is going to keep looking for him in the Maw or beyond.
