That's kinda useless when Anduin doesn't actually get to choose what he does. Arthas was being misguided. Anduin is just straight-up being controlled like a puppet and gets no say in the matter.

    Hoped: 9.1 date.

    Expected: Diablo II date.

What we got: 2 new hero models for OV2.

And the compass and reminders it brings will help him break that control.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Seems to me more that Anduin is either being controlled still and stating he is leaving everyone to help the Jailer or that he programmed his compass somehow to tell everyone his goodbye.

I am willing to put money down on Anduin being important going forward.

The Wowhead article doesn't give much hope:

My assumption is that he “dies”, and the Jailer wins. But this “goodbye” won’t be final.

Why do you think I believe that 9.2 will be about Life?

As Arthas once said, "doesn't anyone stay dead anymore?"

I highly doubt he's actually killed, or if he is, that its the end for him.

Also I swear TheFirstOnes, I should make a drinking game for you talking about Life. But I'd probably get alcohol poisoning pretty quick!

(Just a tease, you certainly are set on it aren't you?)

Damn, never thought Anduin dying would be a possibility.

Yep, they are attending this year.

Probably gonna get some announcements there.

Blizzard no balls to kill Archon, what is the chance they will kill Anduin?

    0%

Ah alright thanks. The thing lasts a month so we could be waiting a while.

Chances they actually announce the new expansion this early? Might build hype to contest the deflating opinion on Shadowlands.

I wonder wtf is up with the cinematic. Is “Anduin’s goodbye” him saying he cannot do anything to stop Zovaal’s mind control shit? Or that he’s telling everyone his future plans? I doubt that tbh...

It has to be a death scene. There’s no way it’s not imo.

  18. #3318
He probably gives up hope seeing that he cannot be freed even when he sees the compass.

The devs literally said that Anduin's mind control by the Jailer is an event that will change him him for years to come. We also still have that comic of him being old.

It's impossible he actually dies here.

Ye, you know they kill characters based on their planned story? "Balls" have nothing to do with it.
