Seriously. At the very least you get a quarantine going.
Speaking of, we don't even have a spreadsheet this time do we? There's literally too many. A well made bingo card would only fit maybe 20% of the possibilities.
I think this is the first time since Mists -> WoD pre-Scrolls of Lore leak that there's so much uncertainty. Every other expac had wildly public and obvious leaks (Blood Elves in an early released gaming magazine, Velen painting at the E3 stage, Northrend herbs in game files flagged expansion02, Leipzig Gaming Convention listing Wrath early, the massive Cata leak months in advance, Mists trademark...) or a clear next step (Gul'dan fuckery, Sargeras sword, Sylvanas farting away).
At BEST we have the Tirisfal encryptions but that can literally just be allied race content. Turalyon mention isn't anything new because it's just a reinforcement of the status quo.
Best thing, possibly the only good thing to come out of this. Your logo was <3.

If they introduce a class (Tinker obv), they should allow it to become available with a prepurchase in 9.2.5 so people can have their new class (Tinkers obv) leveled up in time and find out if htey want to main them for the next expansion, also allow them a chance to tune them a bit if needed in some older content.
For classes at earliest I see it being prepatch like Legion.
For races it can swing either way depending if they are a new race or established in lore.
For ARs again same, depenind if they are related to current or next expansion (Like how in Legion we got 4 with prepurchase, but Zandalari were left for later)

Classes require so much work, the earliest we'd get them is pre-patch.
They've shown extensively they've improved their pipeline in adding races, they could easily potentially add any upcoming races early if wanted, depending on how much work is required and how much work is done.
I want them to bring back profession quests like in Legion

Class Skins would still be rough for one reason: any alterations to the mechanics or core rotation, including new abilities and talents, would mean having to alter any associated skins. It doubles the work in some cases for classes even if it means no problems with tuning or anything else associated with a new class.
Not crapping on it, class skins are probably in my top 5 features if it allows for stuff we should've had years ago (blue mage fire, Necromancers on Demo, Dark Rangers, etc.) but it definitely won't be fire and forget.
It's a compromise though when you consider that, if tier sets return full time, a new class is that much more work per raid tier.
While I don't like the idea of Tinkers, Artificers sound far more appealing. With a more Ethereal/Broker theme. Hyperlight Sparks, Stasis Traps, Rift Blasts stuff like that. Tinkering could even be a spec that focuses on gadgets and stuff like that.
I honestly expect something to come of professions, if not in the next expansion, then in the near future. A year or so ago they were looking to hire someone specifically to focus on professions and improving them.
Here we are, its from Russ Petersen who no longer works there but he did post about it, though the posting is gone now itself:
So at least in October of last year they were hiring someone (potentially multiple someones) to focus on developing professions and they have "ambitious plans" for it.Good morning. There is a rare spawn Associate Systems Designer position that opened this week. I want to talk through a little bit of what this job will be doing, and what you can do to improve your odds.
While we are always looking for well-rounded applicants this requisition will be to primarily support development of professions in WoW. We have some ambitious plans and need people who can focus their time and effort in this space. It is likely we will hire more than one person.
We've got a high level plan but many details need to be finalized and realized, and there is a good deal of implementation across a wide swath of the game that this position will be expected to take on. It is a great opportunity to learn how many parts of WoW function.
