Tinker Leaker pokes fun at both Tinker people and fake leak people. Best of both worlds.
Tinkers and Bards are out. Dragonsworn is in.
EoA seem more and more likely.
They are monitoring this thread monkaW
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
This post was not about working conditions. It's about being afraid to go to work with unvaccinated people like they have leper.
Considering our current knowledge (spread of disease is completely out of control - you would have to live in bunker to avoid that, vaccine doesn't stop you from spreading disease, it's evolving into milder variant and we can't treat it as plague forever, you can't force 100% to vaccine, etc.) yes, I treat it currently as problem almost on "stop calling me he/she, I'm xe/xer" level.
Current war is problem for whole western world not because tragedy, but because we are seriously on brink of world war. That's why covid is almost forgotten.
I wonder if Muffinus had a hand in the Tinker Leaker joke. Seems like something he would do.
That said, I don't think this removes the possibility that we could be getting Tinkers in 10.0. In fact, joking about it in this manner seems more like a deliberate distraction to make us go "haha tinkers lol yeah that will never happen" which, if anything, makes Tinkers now seem more likely than ever to happen in 10.0.
There's a difference between making fun of "X leakers" and straight up making fun of the concept behind a class, which is what the Bard April Fool's announcement was. It doesn't actually make fun of Tinkers as a concept anywhere here, it's more of a jab at "leakers" in general.
If they had made a detailed fake announcement about Tinkers (like they did with Bards), then yeah, it would be time to kiss goodbye to that whole idea lol. But until that happens, it remains a possibility.
New Class: Tinker Leaker
The most popular real-life class has finally come to the fantasy world of Azeroth! Available to all races, the Tinker Leaker provides an exciting connection to the history of the definite future of the game itself. Tinker Leakers are a pure support class that can choose between two ranged specializations: Near-Term Guarantee and Distant Assurance.
As a Tinker Leaker, you’ll follow the other players in your group and buff their spirits with tales of a well-known and interesting activity that is almost certainly on the horizon. You’ll heal your allies with promises, and when each encounter ends, your name and appearance will change so that the next round of authentic predictions you cast will increase in persuasiveness.
It's alright Teriz, you can PM me if you want some moral support, I'll be there for you :d
Everything points to dragon isle/lordaeron/revamp type expansion. They're not going to do a dragon expansion and not include a dragon-type class(if there is a new class that is), but they REALLY need a big hook this time around, a new class is always highly thematic to the expansion.
"Explore the Dragon Isles! But.. with tinkers" -- "Pre-order now and get the HD emerald drake mount, and get early access!!! to the tinker class" .. just doesn't fit, does it?
But we'll see in less than 3 weeks.
Actually, so far nothing points towards any of this. We are still completely in the dark, but for whatever reason people like to latch on to the smallest pieces of "evidence" and form their own ideas of what's "definitely going to happen" even though we actually don't know shit.
All of the datamined Lordaeron stuff is about wrapping up Sylvanas's shitty storyline in 9.2.5 since the Forsaken need a new leader (i.e. Calia) and the rest is just about the Blood Elf heritage weapon questline.
So, question for all the class-theorisers in here:
How do you figure they would make a new class work with Legion's artifacts/halls and Torghast abilities?
Would they have to create brand new outdated content for them?
Would they just not be able to access that content or complete those achievements? That seems unlikely, not to mention buggy.
For the Mage Tower I guess they would just reuse the existing ones, but those two are a lot more specific.
For Legion they will probably just have Khadgar give quests to all new classes to go to quest in the Legion zones instead of having a class hall. Artifact not necessary to level through those zones.
For Torghast they might make them. if there is a new class then like demon hunters they may be playable in the prepatch which means Torghast is relevant content so it would be worth making some new powers for them.
They would just not allow them to do Legion content with that class. Meh, that would suck, wouldn't it? I guess that's another evidence towards Class Skins being a sensible choice. The Hunter order hall already has Dark Rangers, so they would not look out of place there.
