Yeah that part is great, I agree. But turning Naz'jatar, one of the most popular speculated expansion settings into a brown, garbage filled daily quest grind zone, was a sin.
Also that weird shit of Ny'alotha being a dream version of a possible future or some shit...why?
Makes way more sense that Calia just sends them back, especially now that Tyrande is chill and would absolutely take them back in.
Since their inception Nelf Darkfallen just was an excuse to have an Alliance race that could be Dark Rangers, so it makes sense for them to become the Alliance option for Darkfallen IMO. I know people were butthurt about their existence in BFA but when they popped up it started to click for me why they existed in the first place.

Alright, the replies have kind of sold me on Darkfallen being potentially available for both factions (if it gets added). Which is good, because I would much rather get Darkfallen Night Elves for Alliance than weird Calia-looking things. I never liked the way her model looks, it's creepy (and not in an impressive kind of way).
Wait... during BFA, wasn't the Bolvar throne intro for the new DKs also an encrypted map?
Remember that the last time we saw the dark rangers for both sides it was with Calia. I think the Tirisfal Glades map might be the intro for Darkfallen on both sides??

I think they will let Forsaken stand upright instead of doing a new race. Maybe add a skin color to look less undead. That's all you have to do to look like Calia and could distinguish a new generation of Naaru-rezzed undead.
Long ago, when speculating about the new expansion after Legion, one of the hypothesis was an imminent clash between Light/Void.
I wrote, at the time, that it would be cool if players could choose to align with Light or Void not only aesthetically but also as interactions with NPC / Quests.
A bit like it would have happened later in BfA with the Curse of Nzoth and the choice between being loyal to Sylvanas.
I wouldn't mind if this thing about Darkfallen / Lightforged, instead of an aestetical "Elf-Fanservice", could be exploited in terms of gameplay, allowing players to customize they characters showing theyr pledge to Light / Void using also a Light/Void Covenant as hub.
Argus in 2018 My prediction failed in part... But I'm still a Spacegoat
Think about it. Both factions of Darkfallen rangers have a leader character. Belves have Velonara, BFA introduced Delaryn for the nelves.
We have an encrypted map that happens to be where the majority of Dark Rangers went after BFA, similarly to how the encrypted map for 8.3 had to do with preorder bonus DKs.
I think we're looking at preorder ARs.
What if its Darkfallen re-using Venthyr animations and Children of Cenarius using Slyvar animations?
Someone posted this in another thread. Even if it's april fools, and I don't believe the slime saber part (the mount is coming but why would it be a dark ranger mount?) I think this is exactly what's going to happen regarding the Darkfallen.
9.2.5 Tirisfal stuff is NOT some Shadowlands epilogue, or Forsaken getting their home back, or a heritage armor thing like people have been suggesting. It's the starting zone for a new allied race in the next expansion/9.2.5.: Darkfallen.
They're a neutral race like pandaren, but with a twist. Alliance darkfallen look like night elves and Horde darkfallen look like blood elves. They can be warriors, hunters, rogues, mages, warlocks, and death knights. Maybe priests, but it hasn't been nailed down (like when they couldn't decide if Zandalari trolls should be warlocks or not). They have cool racials like one that works kind of like the venthyr teleport ability, and they can tame undead animals by default like Forsaken. Their racial mount is the slimesaber from that mount contest. Heritage armor looks kind of like Sylvanas's armor from Wrath with some vampire/san'layn-y parts and has a pants version and robe version.
In 9.2.5. the quest to unlock them will be added to SW/Org Embassies (they'll finally have an even number of flags!). You only need to do the quest on one faction to unlock them for both, and there aren't any differences in the quest itself save for starting and turning it in at either Stormwind or Org. Delaryn (Alliance) and Velonara (Horde) are the co-leaders of the darkfallen, and Calia shows up during the quests to help integrate them into the factions. She has a new model but the changes from her old one are not what you're expecting, so I won't spoil it since people will be saying "huh?!" and I don't want to ruin that surprise.
The quests will be available to all players when 9.2.5 goes live but only those who have pre-ordered the expansion will unlock darkfallen at the end of it. The rest will have to wait until the pre-expansion patch which will unlock them for everyone (so if you don't pre-order but do the quest in 9.2.5, you can immediately make a darkfallen as soon as the pre-expac patch goes live).
I'll share more on the expansion itself once it gets closer to the 19th so there will be more plausible deniability on who leaked it. Just don't be a Fool and share any of this until then!

Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.
